Never check its price as I also has no intention to buy it.
As if I want to buy for myself, I would choose 14-24 f/2.8, which is more versatile indeed.

This weekend I just went to City Hall and checked the price there.
The 2nd hand price for AFD 14mm f/2.8 (in good condition) is about the same with the new AFS 16-35mm f/4 VR.

The brand new of AFD 14mm f/2.8 would be more expensive than AFS 16-35mm f/4 VR though. But this 14mm f/2.8 lens is a very good alternative if you prefer a non-BIM lens with smaller body than 14-24 f/2.8.

If you want lighter weight and filter to play with, you may consider the 16-35mm f4 VR.

thanks csers! from what i've read through. i might be getting the 16-35mm or the 16-28 tokina. just save some up more for it! ;p;p
