Need Advice on video cam

Hi all, need some advice.

Currently I have been adding video into my work and found that I may want to add it in.

What is the advice on the kind of video cam to get.
1) 5DMKII --> As I already have a range of lens to use, but do think it is for long video recording
2) Canon XH-A1s/XH-A1 --> looks to be a pro cam that can deliever, but do not know if the performance match up to new items like 5DMKII and the new Canon HF G10
3) Canon HF XA10 --> new tec, but not sure of its performance.

As you can see I am quite a canon user but feel free to advice other choices.

Thanks in advance.

XA10 is your best bet. You will be very happy the day you forgot to bring media and then realise (A) it has an internal HD (B) it uses SDHC that you can buy in any neighbourhood. I don't think you would like to ingest tape on company time (A1) nor limit your recordings to 12 minutes.(5D) Cheers.

why not consider a XF100? Records on CF Cards, which you already have lots of since you have a 5D. The MXF codec with 4:2:2 color and 50Mbps would give you more headroom to post and grade.

The XA10 after only records in 24Mbps AVCHD.

Plus, the XF100 feels better in the hands, its bigger but grips better.

Thanks for all the advice, brought my partner to go see both cam, in the end we were comfortable with the XA10 than the XF100. So it was what we got. Still charging, hope to play with it soon. Just a qn, The software is not MAC OS compatible, what is the software you all use in MAC? :)
