thanks for the explanation guys.
well, think my skills havent outgrown Tz1 yet.
still need to practice hehe.
ironically most of my family and friends think Tz1 is too big.
They are more used to Fx size (I sold my Fx7).
One of my fren even forgo the Fx01 which i recommended to get a Casio Z60 due to size.

Wow, FX01 sold away for Casio Z60? He should have kept the FX01 & buy the Casio Z60 as a 2nd camera...

i just feel that the sky doesn't feel right. is there something wrong?

My comment on this shot:

Nothing wrong with the white sky, since your metering is on the house.

If you manage to get a blue sky, the house in front will be under-exposed.

Only way to get both the house clear and a blue sky is to meter the sky, and fire a flash (provided the flash light is powerful enough to reach the house) when you are taking an exposure.

Another method is to use Neutral Density filter, or take 2 shots (require tripod) with different metering (one meter the sky and the other meter the house) and then blend the 2 together.

TZ1 uses lithium battery but LZ5 uses AA, so I guess LZ5 wins in this are since even Eastgear does not have 3rd party batteries for it at the moment.

Please note that all digital cams using AA size batteries will dry it really fast unless it is using 4 x AA batteries.

but the cam is LZ1 leh...how to put ND/CPL in front, unless of course hand held ar. Doubt the flash will reach the house...even my ext. flash is only 7 metres wide coverage.

The either take 2 shots to blend them, or use big, big, big mirror as reflector lor. :bsmilie: :bsmilie:
