Hi Popeye, Nothing is free in this world!!! As I can't afford to pay so exx and I don't want to waste or hurt the photographer's feeling, I decided to do this posting for those who thinks that they could the job and their price is not exx thry could email me than I could talk to them it's better this way so that I don't offend anyone.

Thanks

Normally there are alot of bridal shops offering package inclusive of photo sessions and outdoor shooting on the wedding day, some are relatively resonable price.

Wedding is a once in a life time occasion better not try with the newbies or advance amature. ( I am not a professional, just an advanced amature, just to make it clear of my sincere opinion that I am not bias).

Probably there are alot of Advance amature photographer might want to try. My advise is better not take a risk.

Hi thanks for the advise, my sister do have a bridal shoot it's just that we are doing more of casual shoot and a few simple potraits for her so I guese just a good photographer will do instead of the professional and also due to budget constraints and I have to sponsor. Her studio is charging quite high for the two day event that is why we decided on this.

Thanks anyway.

I rec. quite a lot of responds and is trying my best to answer all.

Thanks

Ally

I agree, Wedding is once a lifetime thing. Newbies with little or no experience should stay out of this.

But some may ask, newbies has to start from somewhere right? Yes, go take a course in Wedding photography, then observe/learn from the pros by working as a assistant for a while b4 going on your own. Another chance to learn free is to help in as many wedding as possible.

Some tips on capturing Memories for Wedding Day:

1. Get a Professional to do those important shots (eg ceremonial highlights)

2. Get a semi-pro/amature to do the candid shots (eg like what you want to do here in this post).

3. Brief the Pro and semi-pro about what your expectations are at least 2-3 weeks before the wedding day. Show them some example photos you really like. Give clear objectives to each, hopefully do not overlap the 2. The casually shots (taken by the semi-pro/amature) can be a lot more fun and a lot more memorable. The best shots are usually those that see things the fun and unusual ways - not the traditional "safe" angle and composition. Take a look at this wedding site : http://www.chrisling.com/gallery.htm and you will see many interesting shots.

4. Price should equate the value you get from each artiste, so do as much as you can to get the best photographer as it's really the good memories you are capturing. If you really need to squeeze on budget, you may want to get in touch with some NAFA/La Salle students who would love to do this for a small fee (usually to cover their expenses in film, transport, meals and their time to setup, run and the shooting). You may want to short list those that show potential or have a particular flair.
