yup. of course. I may be 19, but I have been in this trade since I was in Sec 3, working for a studio and stuff. My kins are in the pageant trade, running, judging and participating in pageants organised by TKS, ERM.

What I mean is, if Agency A managed to secure a client for Freelance Model B, without B having to do anything, then A gets the commission. Agency C gets zero.

If a client knows of A, B and C, he can choose to go to either of them. He then pays the commission to whoever he goes to.

A serious client may not necessarily go to B direct for cheaper prices. He may go to A if A is a reputable agency. If B some how pang seh, and he went to B directly, he will have problem getting compensation. If he went to A, he can sue A for breach of contract and he will have better recourse.

This is for the so called "freelance" agencies.

This is the precise reason why I never worry about my girls ending up working directly with my client. A big company would only work with reputable company whom they can trust. Besides, alot of the red tapes make it very difficult for them to hire the models direct.

But still it doesn't stop people (freelance agents, potential clients etc) from poaching them during their work stints with me. Some have the cheek to tell me, 'I prefer to work with the models direct' when I politely let them know the girls are managed by me for the event.

Anyway, Moods provided a model for me during the recent IT Show and so far so good.
