Actually if you look carefully there is smoke at the bottom of the MBS... there is also some on the sky... but not very bad as the wind is pretty strong that day cos of the rain... so the smoke cleared pretty fast after each shots i hv... partly also cos I didnt expose too long for the smoke to be visible...

Hi shark... the main and finale fireworks will be shoot infront of the MBS... the rest are small fireworks shooting from Maybank, esplanade, raffles place...there are a total of 9 location... but main is still at the MBS...

Hi Ericulf... nope i dont use a black card. would love to try out.
I set my exposure base on the background 1st in this case the MBS... I usually underexpose the exposure by 1-2 stop to cater in the extra light from the fireworks itself... i then open the shutter right before the firework explodes and hold it open as the explosion occurs. i may need to adjust the exposure again base on the 1st shot of the firework. Afterwhich, i leave the setting for the rest of shoot... usually it works for me base on my own experience with fireworks...

I have some qns to ask... do i correct the distortion before stitching them or after stitching them? and which sw do you use to correct the distortion or any recommended or easier way to correct it?
