Not sure about the rehearsal days, but I had an "Official" pass for NDP07 actual day, because I was shooting footage for a local company that was contracted to make an NDP video. All the shooters had to submit their particulars and photos months beforehand for clearance, and to get the passes made.

can public be a shooter too?

or must be with company one?

public with general ticket can shoot from your seat but no walking around. The organiser will not stop those with pass from moving around. Normally ppl with pass are those who shoot for website (my case) or for their organisation, club, religion group, clan or even company. Pass was applied back in Feb.

I will have to give the actual day 09Aug show a missed due to other personal committment. For those who watched the video and liked it, thank you very much. It certainly is a encouragement to me making video from a DSLR. The bokeh I can get out of the 5D Mk II way surpass my Sony EX1 video camera.

if i can't go, i'll sms you.

give you my pass, mine has access from holding area to area B1 anywhere but the roads leading to the floating platform, meaning you can go to the seats but not on the platform.

The composition and clip organization is good, but you may use some transition when joining the individual clips together...

IMHO, Almost perfect, the only thing I feel a bit too much is the adjusting of focus (from out of focus to sharp focus, back ground blur) too much of that.... this effect could be good for artistic movie clip, but not for a movie clip that record some event.

Just 2 cents

true, but his video is so good his pros can overshadow his cons,

overall, great job done.

Cannot disagree on the 'pro overshadow cons', but I would say this doesn't mean you should stop to improving yourself.

cool video man :)
i tried 5dmk2 handheld a lot of times and i feel giddy when i see it, but it seems you can handle some of the shot with handheld very well :)
salute :)

Thank you for the comment. That was precisely the reason why I bought 5DMII; DOF or some call it bokeh. Any sub 10k video camera available today can't do it w/o special adapter.

As for transitions, well I try to move away from it as much as possible.only use it when really necessary.
