They flew past the floating platform at around 7pm. Fireworks starts at about 8.25pm.

so this yr they decided to start late (compared to last yr) or only today then this timing?

You can bid 200 times or 1000 times.. They will only register the latest bid. I've been to 2 of the CRs before. Quite different atmosphere from when you watch at home. But i like watching the actual parade at home cos of the TV coverage.

hey bro, this year's the CR are we allow to shoot INSIDE the seating platform there? or can only shoot near colors by the bay there? i was last year's photographer for my sch coz my school performed so all the CRs can go in =P

as with any other event, only registered photographers (and audience of course) are able to shoot inside the stadium. those without tickets, sorry, you have to shoot outside. having a camera does not give you a free pass to shoot at any event as you wish.

Hi all, all nice pics!

Just a newbie qns, hope you guys and TS dont mind:

To tonylim; The contrast, vibrance and colours are OUTSTANDING!
`How you achieve this???
-Is it just solely because it is a 300mm L and some more prime lens
or is it because a CPL is used
or it was a result of great PP?

Thanks

I shoot Raw and later play around with the Picture Style in DPP software to see which Picture style suit the sceen best. For this 2 pictures, I use "CLEAR" picture style. I did not use any CPL but I think L lens does help a bit to create better contrast.
