uncleparty,

I like the skintone of your shots, do mind to know the attributes/settings, body model, lens?

Thanks in advnace.

cheers,

hello guys, not really sure how to ans this but here goes.

the shots posted were made with the d70. some were made with the kit lens, but most was with the 88bucks promo lens that takes forever to focus. only picture 03 was taken with the 8800 den i decided to keep it cos it was confusing holding two cams in that cramp space.

wats attributes and settings? issit the mode ah? i shot in M mode mostly, on AF (can imagine the nightmare with that 88bucks lens? haha). didnt use tripod (except last shot) but pushed up the iso and exposure compensation when the sky started getting dark instead.

den i use ps to resize and adjust brightness of some pics. lazy to edit cos was too tired.

hope it helps... :)

haha uncleparty! you're edmund right?

the one from st doing the recee with my boss la. why no news from you huhhhh???

eh alamak haaha ur here! sorry, i lost his namecard. pm-ed you...

Hi to all, just to clarify the air. The colours ensign who fainted was carrying 4 SIR colours NOT 3 SIR. Heard he wasn't feeling well just before the actual parade. Actually, carrying the colours has a lot of pressure and mental impact on the officer cos it's the unit's pride he's carrying. Good thing was he "passed" the colours to his escort just before he knew it was coming. All ensigns have been briefed again and again, anything can happen but the COLOURS WILL NOT DROP.
Anyway, to all ensigns, keep up the good work and let's do this parade with Pride & Honour. To all watching the parade, enjoy the show and keep the pics coming..hee hee.

good series, uncleparty!

Fua...he actually could pass the flag behind before fainting? Think he deserves allocades then any punishment! :D

Azmi, did you get a photo from you winning a prize for the Total Defence photo comp? saw one entry with the name of Azmi, but not sure if it's you.

Yeah, saw a post from someone else here( forgot who..hee ) saying the pics are on display at marina. Got called somewhere in June about my winning entry. Checking it out today liao...so excited liao. First time send got win already...hee...totally unexpected. Anyway, I know my standard now...but me still learning from the experts here...hee...
Hey, you got take any more pics of the marching contigents ?
Thanks again sehsuan! Cheers!

Well, contigencies are rehearsed all the time. Split second situations requires split second actions liao...Anyway it'll be the WORST scenario if the Colours dropped. I really can't imagine what'll happen to the ensign and the escort of that happens.
Anyway, among the Colours party contingent, we felt he did the right thing of not letting the Colours drop. Getting charged, signing extras is nothing compared to the Colours hitting the ground. It's our Pride and Honour!

actually that shot of yours, i thought it was REALLY well done. as if it was done via somebody from say, Pioneer mag etc. subjects are natural; but the titling conveys the message well.

Just came back from the Carnival. Saw my pic there...so happy..hee hee
Saw so many other wonderful pics, some of them priceless from my view. Captured with memories forever. Cheers to their photographers!! :cheergal:
Thanks for your compliments Sehsuan! I must say when I look at the photos there, I feel that the title of the photos play an important part rite? Title must be right...as in sync with the pic/theme....cos when I was looking at them...I have lots of these photos but I feel I didn't choose the right ones for submission..hee hee...good lesson learnt...

thank you cheesecake. :) will be takin the pictures down soon. mighty eating bandwidth.
