The moral of the story is....guy pls don't hanky panky....we already have Geylang and Deskar Road if you have the need.......The law can only do so much to protect its citizens and it's always the weak that is being prayed....so what is the right figure to draw the line as minor or major? For once i would like the age to raise to 38......but some will argue why don't 68? Its never ending story.....its easier for us to just post rubbish in forum, think about it this way, what if the girl is your kin? What about the helpless parent who lost control of their children? Do we allow them to be taken advantage by mere few hundred bucks? It will became social and national issue if it's not deal with now.

Read the New Paper issue where they published the full names of every guy involved. For the one who changed name, they made sure the original name was shown.

Her identity was exposed two years ago loh even when investigation was underway.
there is another school of thought that the whole episode was allowed to be blown so big is to cover up the smrt's train multiple-failure matter. one concerns a small group of people, and their personal lifestyle and the other concerns every one! our national newspapers sure know which is more important and interesting to do their reporting.

If one of the guys was a 95 year old man, then he may be able to prove medically that actually he cannot consummate the act and that he paid only for companionship of a sweet young thing for a short while. So the courts have to acquit him. Instead the courts may charge the OKT and the young girl for abusing the elderly.

actually there are. it's just that they don't do it with the masses, just their boyfriends... and make them buy them expensive items.
i believe there are cases as well, of young girls sleeping with older men in exchange for gifts to keep their mouths shut.

What if the girl is a willingly works as such a freelancing prostitute knowing that she is underaged, and protected by the law. Even her identity is protected. This would give even more young girls courage to do such things for money, no?
They won't be prosecuted, only their 'clients' would be.
I say there should be such a clause that says if the girl is underaged and found to be willing, and with full knowledge of the law, that she could be prosecuted as well.
