Thanks man! I love them too, quite good IQ from a 450D + Kit lens.
I use Photoshop for these two pics. Reasons for color popping was because the water was very murky and dull and the lotuses are pretty hence highlighting them. I use channel mixer, levels and curves to get a good B/W pic then i simply use a mask to reveal the colors.
