I like the above shot of how this little-guy's "attention-being-caught" by something...Good-Take (too bad cos can only use a max. of 5-smileys only...)

But sorry to ask, some of the birds photo are a little soft, was it because it's not on tripod? Or???
I would like to know how you feel about this lens, as the price is very attractive. May consider this lens fro birding.

yes, those birdie shots were taken with tripod; especially those under shade i agree it's abit soft and probably it is due to the lower shutter speed (f5-6.3 for this lens) and quickly taken-shots.
generally, it's fun playing with this lens; but for a more serious birding photographer, a faster lens is an obvious choice.
btw, i have not tried this lens with a teleconverter and a longer than 500mm may be required for shooting far distant and smaller birds.
