to be fair,

that's the first thought that hit my brain when i read this:

also, no need for tripod and monopod. since it is concert environment you wil want to save space and be as compact as possible. and also its a sign of weakness and a liability and will only make u more reliant on artificial support. use tripod only if its beyond your handholding ablity and use monopod only for larger lenses (eg 300/2.8)

everytime i see professional portrait shooters working outdoors, they are very weak. :bsmilie:

that said, he shouldn't have put it in such a rude manner. but neither should you make such frivolous statements.
