The Type 90 tank (90式戦&#36554 is the main battle tank (MBT) of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) as of 2014.

It was designed and built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries as a replacement for all deployed Type 61 and Type 74 tanks, and entered service in 1990. It is to be superseded by the Type 10 tank.

The Bradley IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle, or light tank) was developed largely in response to the amphibious Soviet BMP family of infantry fighting vehicles, and to serve as both an APC, and a tank-killer.

The Bradley is highly capable in cross-country open terrain, in accordance with one of the main design objectives of keeping pace with the M1 Abrams main battle tank. Whereas the M113 would float without much preparation, the Bradley was initially designed to float by deploying a flotation curtain around the vehicle.

It's not a coincidence most British tanks start with C. Before WWII there were more than one class of tank and one of the classes was the 'Cruiser' tank and all names began with the letter C. The class system has been discontinued but the habit or tradition of naming tanks with a C initial remained.

Some of the British tanks available in this Combat Tank Collection series are the Crusader, Churchill, Cromwell, Chieftain and the Challenger.

Other British tanks starting with the letter C also include the Centaur, Conqueror, Comet and Centurion (no photo-shoots of these tanks are available as I do not have these models in my collection at this time)

The Sturmpanzer (also known as Sturmpanzer 43 or Sd.Kfz. 166) was a German armoured infantry support vehicle in the Second World War. It was designed to provide direct infantry fire support for the troops, especially in urban areas.

Early vehicles were too heavy for the chassis, which lead to frequent breakdowns of the suspension and transmission. Efforts were made to ameliorate this from the second series onwards, with some success. Since it was intended for use in urban areas in close range street fighting, it needed to be heavily armoured. Its sloped (at 47° from vertical) 100 mm frontal armor therefore was effectively 150 mm thick, while its superstructure side and rear plates were 30 mm and 82 mm thick respectively.

Despite its cumbersome appearance, the Brummbar actually proved quite useful in support of infantry actions during urban fighting in the German Army.

By using the T-34 chassis, it helped speed up production of the SU-85 - which was in fact a provisional and stop-gap measure while waiting for the new T-34/85 to be produced.

Tiger II is the common name of a German heavy tank of the Second World War. The final official German designation was Panzerkampfwagen Tiger Ausf. B, often shortened to Tiger B. It is also known under the informal name Königstiger (German for "Bengal tiger"), often mistranslated as King Tiger or Royal Tiger by Allied soldiers.

Two turret designs were used in the production of Tiger II. The mainstream production turret is the Henschel turret simplified with a significantly thicker flat face and less-steeply sloped sides (removing the need of a bulge for the commander's cupola). It used a conventional hull design with sloped armour resembling the layout of the Panther tank.

The initial design of the Tiger II in fact used the "Porsche" turret. This turret had a rounded front and steeply sloped sides, with a difficult-to-manufacture curved bulge on the turret's left side to accommodate the commander's cupola. Only fifty of these early turrets were produced.

Prior to the invasion of Russia during World War II, the German armed forces were not aware of two newly developed Soviet tanks, the KV heavy tank and the T-34 medium tank . As a result, they were surprised when they met them in combat for the first time in June 1941. The German's standard anti-tank weapons were found to be ineffective against these new Soviet tanks.

IS tank family was a series of heavy tanks developed as a successor to the KV-series by Russia during World War II. It was named after Soviet leader Joseph Stalin (JS). The heavy tank was designed with thick armour to counter against the German 88 mm guns.

The 122mm main gun of the IS-2 is able to destroy the German Tiger and Panther tanks.
