NOTICE: If you don't see the images in some of the older posts means I had used up the 10GB bandwidth for this month. I'm sorry these pictures can no longer be viewed until next month where the counter will be reset to zero and the pictures would then appear again. For the newer posts I am using another account so it is not affected. Enjoy !

Scale 1/3 Beretta

This piece unlike my other collectables is light, made of plastic.... given the small size, the plastic moulding and details are top notch

Magazine can be removed and load/remove 1 bullet. The replica cannot fire of course :bsmilie:

HH1010 Hobby Master - UH-1B Huey RAAF Long Tan 1966

This Huey Helicopter is also used by our Air Force (seldom see them nowadays though)

Some history on this model.... Battle of Long Tan On August 17-18 1966 Australian troops were surrounded by overwhelming numbers of enemy troops in Vietnam. As night was falling they were running low on ammunition and the only method of re-supply was by helicopter.

The Huey Helicopter tail number A2-1020 (the model shown here) and another sister helicopter off-loaded 520 kg of ammunition to the Australian troops on the ground to hold on until an artillery barrage and armoured vehicles arrived, driving the enemy soldiers into a retreat.

A2-1020 is now on display at the RAAF Museum in Point Cook, near Melbourne. With such a history, it is no wonder this model is also sold by Shop | Australian War Memorial
