WS091 "Gestapo Arrest!" (King and Country WS091)

"GESTAPO ARREST!" With their chronic shortage of motorized transport the Germans were only too happy to confiscate all kinds of vehicles in occupied lands. One of their favourites was the Traction 11CV built by the famous French auto company Citroen.

Here this little 4 door saloon/staff car is in the colours and markings of the dreaded Gestapo! An SD (Secret Police) officer and SD man closely guard a resistance suspects being taken for interrogation. Set includes a seated SD driver."

The Gestapo or "Secret State Police" was the official secret police of Nazi Germany and German-occupied Europe.

During the Second World War there were 45,000 members of the Gestapo. However, it is estimated they also employed 160,000 agents and informers.

When the German Army occupied foreign countries. they were always accompanied by the Gestapo. When on duties they wore civilian clothes or SS uniforms and were responsible for rounding up communists, partisans and Jews and others who were considered to be a threat to German rule.

The Gestapo quickly developed a reputation for using brutal interrogation methods in order to obtain confessions.

The Citroën Traction Avant is an executive car produced by the French manufacturer Citroën from 1934 to 1957. This Traction Avant pioneered mass production of three revolutionary features still in use today: a unitary body with no separate frame, four-wheel independent suspension, and front-wheel drive.

European Medieval Knight Closed Helmet
The closed helmet is the typical helmet that is often thought of when picturing a typical knight of the middle ages, although this Engraved European Closed Helmet takes that thought a step further by covering the helmet with impressive and ornate designs.

See the visor could even be lifted

36087193796_584a71853c_o.jpg

The decorative cut-outs along the visor mouthpiece help to ventilate the helmet as much to allow the wearer to breathe easier when worn. The visor rotates, so it can be lifted as needed.
