Sd.Kfz.251/7 Ausf.C Pionierpanzerwagen, "Barbarossa", 1941 - This half-track was one of the specialist vehicles that were involved in Operation Barbarossa. This massive German invasion of the Soviet Union involved an estimated 2.6 million German soldiers on the opening day alone, including Pioneers and combat engineers. This Sd.Kfz.251/7 carried twin bridge sections for crossing small obstacles such as anti-tank ditches and help breach fortifications.

Sd.Kfz.251/7 Ausf.D, 19.Panzer-Division, Warsaw 1944 - This specialist vehicle carries twin bridge sections atop the hull for crossing small obstacles such as anti-tank ditches. A metal chassis is included for added durability. It is painted in camouflage scheme with accurate markings. Interior of fighting compartment is fully rendered.

IJA Type 97 "Chi-Ha" Early Production, Co.4, 34th Tank Regiment, North China 1945 (Dragon Armor 60432)

IJA Type 97 "Chi-Ha" Early Production, Co.4, 34th Tank Regiment, North China 1945 - One area where the Chi-Ha was deployed was China. This model depicts a tank belonging to the 4th Tank Company of the 34th Tank Regiment. This regiment belonging to the 1st Independent Tank Brigade was created in 1944; it was one of nine independent tank brigades formed at the end of WWII in Japan and northeast China to act as a mobile force. The 34th Tank Regiment spent the entirety of its short existence in China until the war ended. As well as being an Early-Production version, what stands out most on this model is the striking camouflage scheme consisting of three colors plus bright bands of yellow. Markings painted onto the hull suggest this tank was sponsored by members of the Japanese public, with the characters representing "patriotic".

Dragon Armor - Neubau-Fahrzeung Nr.3-5, Versuchsfahrzeuge, Germany 1940 (Dragon Armor 60597)

Neubau-Fahrzeung Nr.3-5, Versuchsfahrzeuge, Germany 1940 - Germanys first attempts at creating a heavy tank commenced in the early 1930s with a design known as the Neubaufahrzeug (New Construction Vehicle). It was not a success, however. Slow-moving and boasting multiple turrets, it was ill equipped for the type of rapid, mobile warfare that Blitzkrieg tactics required. For this reason, only five Neubau-Fahrzeug heavy tanks were ever built, the first two of which were prototypes. However, the three 25.8-ton series-production tanks (Numbers 3-5) that had been manufactured in 1935-36 participated in the 1940 invasion of Norway. They were deployed within a specially formed Panzerabteilung called Pz.Abt.z.b.V.40, but this was the extent of their wartime combat involvement. Their armament included a 7.5cm KwK L/24 main gun, 3.7cm KwK L/45 cannon and two 7.92mm machine guns.

This tank is impressive with its early-war camouflage color of panzer gray (dunkelgrau). The camouflage scheme is enhanced with white balkenkreuze markings as well as a distinctive number 10 on the rear of the main turret.

IJA Type 97 "Chi-Ha" Early Production, Co.3, 1st Tank Regiment, Malaya 1941 (Dragon Armor 60429)

One area where the Chi-Ha was deployed was Malaya from December 1941 through to the fall of Singapore in February 1942. Three Japanese tank regiments saw combat on the Malay peninsular as Japanese forces quickly moved south, and Dragon Armor’s model depicts a tank belonging to the 3rd Tank Company of the 1st Tank Regiment. This regiment had a total of 31 Type 97 tanks, as well as some lighter Type 95s during this campaign. As well as being an Early-Production version, what stands out most on this model is the colorful camouflage scheme consisting of three colors plus bright bands of yellow. Company-level tactical markings are painted onto the turret and hull too. This attractive item allows collectors to field another Japanese tank in addition to the previously released Type 95 Ha-Go and Type 97 Chi-Ha Late Production.

The Type 97 was Japan’s most widely produced medium tank of WWII. Boasting a 57mm main gun and two Type 97 machine guns, this tank was intended to serve as an up-scaled version of the Type 95 for infantry support. Armor protection was modest on this vehicle. A total of 2,123 Chi-Ha tanks were produced from 1938-43, most of which carried the low-velocity 57mm gun. The tank could move at a speed of 38km/h.

Dragon Armor - Soviet Army Leningrad USSR, 1942, (T-34/76) (Dragon Armor 60474)

T-34/76 Mod. 1941, Leningrad 1942-43 - The T-34/76 Mod.1941 was one type of armored vehicle that the Red Army used to defend the city of Leningrad in the Baltic during the destructive siege by German forces of Army Group North. This grim blockade was to grind on for 872 days from 8 September 1941 onwards. This vehicle portrays one of the defenders of Leningrad in the 1942-42 period. Although the unit the tank belongs to hasnt been identified, it carries a most distinctive camouflage scheme. The base green paint is over-painted in white bands and spots designed to help it blend into the background during winter fighting.

Personally, since you started using reflective base. I've found the reflection distracting, reflective surface can either enhance or distract.

CPL may also help take out some of the unwanted reflection.

Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.F2(G), Pz.Rgt.15, 11.Pz.Div., Russia 1942 - The Panzerkampfwagen IV (Pz.Kpfw. IV), commonly known as the Panzer IV, was a medium tank developed in Nazi Germany in the late 1930s and used extensively during the Second World War.

Designed as an infantry-support tank, the Panzer IV was not originally intended to engage enemy armorthat function was performed by the lighter Panzer III. However with the flaws of pre-war doctrine becoming apparent in the face of Soviet T-34 tanks, the Panzer IV soon assumed the tank-fighting role of its increasingly obsolete Panzer III. The Panzer IV is the most widely manufactured and deployed German tank of the Second World War - its base is also used in many other German fighting vehicles types of World War 2.

Dragon Armor - 88mm FlaK 36, Stalingrad 1942 (Dragon Armor 60630)

"The newest 1/72 Dragon Armor is an amazing replica of a German 8.8cm Flak 36 gun, and naturally it's been newly tooled. Originally an antiaircraft weapon, the "88" was one of the most famous weapons of WWII, and several variants were produced. One of them was the Flugzeugabwehrkanone (Flak) 36, which was in its element when serving as an anti-tank cannon. The 7.4-tonne gun could be readied for action in just 2.5 minutes. Muzzle velocity was 820m/ and it was particularly deadly against enemy tanks. Entering service in 1936/37, it was commonly fitted with a shield to protect crewmembers when engaging ground targets.

Dragon Armor's first depiction of the Flak 36 shows a weapon in action during the bloody Battle of Stalingrad in 1942, a conflagration that culminated in a massive defeat for German forces. The gun on its cruciform platform is painted in a typical early-war camouflage scheme of gray. This particular weapon has had a stunning career as illustrated by the number of kill marks chalked on the armored shield. This was a legendary weapon of WWII, and Dragon's model is accomplished in both its level of detail and finish."

In the early 1940s, the only effective weapon the German army possessed against the Russian T-34 and KV-1 was this 88mm anti-aircraft gun.

The 88mm was a versatile weapon capable of serving many roles from anti-aircraft to anti-tank and artillery. By this time, the 88mm had already proven itself as a formidable tank killer, highly accurate and capable of taking out enemy tanks at extreme ranges of up to 2000 metres.

As such a variant of the 88mm anti-tank gun was mounted on the new German Tiger I Tank which was rolled out in the August of 1942.
