"This last of the trio has the Russian slogan painted on the side of the turret which means “For the Motherland” and again comes complete with a tank commander figure."

The scale and dimension of this WW2 Russian tank matches so closely to the real thing too  (model tank is moulded from rock chips and epoxy so is a heavy item as well)

Click to see the large size image

Scaled it down for comparison....

My first shoot with anime figure. This is from the Dead or Alive game. Figure is semi-gloss and this makes lighting quite difficult and even so in PP as the colors much match the actual figure. Shooting TANKS were very much easier....

Museum Piece / Photo . Below is my replica in 1:10 scale from Boford Japan / Mononofu

Shining metal and rounded objects are the most difficult to shoot... so is this piece of Japanese body armor

This is another game anime figure from Rumble Roses Dixie Celements. Don't know why but this figure is going for quite $ in amazon US$280

My piece had been displayed and without box or mint is not worth that much.... I used pink filter for the 2 led lightings to make skin rosier. Unlike life model, "she" don't sweat shooting in contnuous lighting :bsmilie:

MONONOFU - Samurai Helmets

boford-samurai-helmets2.jpg

These are re-shoots done this week. My earlier effort when I started out photography year back was quite poorly done.

samurai-warrior2.jpg

These helmets are made of metal, some plastics. Again those shining golden plates are most difficult to shoot/get correct - too bright no details, too dim cannot show the "gold" color

Wow, great photos and miniatures!

Wow, great photos and miniatures!

Glad you like it. I tried to replicate your Diecast cars using my 1:43 ones - mine TOO SMALL cannot show the details. Also because is small and metallic paint make it hard to shoot as well

Being small they are easy to keep though...

HONDA JAZZ (called FIT in Japan) - BLUE with roof. Nice car on the road - good pick-up due to high VTEC engine torque - but "not stable" cornering at high speeds on PIE though, the car like can "fly"

The Honda Fit, also marketed as the Honda Jazz, is a five-door subcompact car manufactured and marketed by Honda since 2001. The second generation Fit (this model) debuted on 17 October 2007 at the Tokyo Motor Show. At its introduction in 2007, it won the Car of the Year Japan Award for the second time. The vehicle offers a longer wheelbase than its predecessor and is wider and longer overall. Overall height is left unchanged though.

HODAY CITY (made in Thailand car) - Like JAZZ fast pick-up due to VTEC engine - uses same platform as JAZZ. Also like can "fly" ate high speed cornering

Model by EBBRO - limited edition 1008 pieces worldwide. At such 1/43 scale details not very refined though...

Model: Honda Fit Aria (Honda City) 1.5 VETC
Body style: 4-door sedan
Engine: 1,497 cc
Horsepower: 100 bhp
Transmission: 5-speed automatic
Wheelbase: 2,450 mm
Length: 4,390 mm
Width: 1,690 mm

Kerb Weight: 1,190 kg
Acceleration 0-100 kmh: 11.8 sec

The fourth generation City made its world debut at the Thailand International Motor Expo in November 2002. This version was imported from Thailand and launched as Fit Aria in Japan domestic market from December 20, 2002. The word "aria" is a type of expressive melody, usually heard in opera.

Close-ups... given these diecast cars are not more than 4cm in height, the details are quite good and very accurate to the real ones on the roads.

HONDA CIVIC generation 8 - HONDA white paint is actually creamy/yellowish in color. CIVIC is the "ah-beng" car so insurance is very much higher (maybe a lot of accidents?). The 1.8litre street version can go 1 litre 13KM - but suffers from cabin/road noise, I think due to its flat passenger rear floor

Model: Honda Civic Type R (highest performance version of the Honda Civic)
Body style: 4-door sports sedan
Engine: 1,998 cc
Horsepower: 225 bhp
Transmission: 6-speed manual
Wheelbase: 2,700 mm
Length: 4,540 mm
Width: 1,770 mm
Height: 1,430 mm
Kerb Weight: 1,260 kg
Acceleration 0-100 kmh: 8.3 sec

The Japanese market Civic Type R (FD2) went on sale on March 30, 2007. For the first time, the JDM Civic Type R was sold as a four-door sports sedan rather than a three-door hot hatch. Using the Japanese market four-door sedan as a base model means the new Type R is now bigger, wider and heavier.

These diecast cars are not more than 4cm in height, so the details are considered superb already. Just look ate the tyre threads - so well molded.

Below diecast model is from AUTOART the MAZDA CX-7 SUV. Very nice design like all MAZDA cars - but at 2.3 litre is a oil gluzzer. Goes only 1 litre 6.5KM at best

Model: Mazda CX-7
Body style: 5-door Compact crossover SUV
Engine: 2,261 cc
Horsepower: 235 bhp
Transmission: 6-speed (A)
Wheelbase: 2,750 mm
Length: 4,676 mm
Width: 1,87 mm
Height: 1,646 mm
Kerb Weight: 1,749 kg
Acceleration 0-100 kmh: 8.3 sec

The Mazda CX-7 was a compact crossover SUV model from Mazda, and is the production version of the MX-Crossport concept car. The CX-7 went on sale in spring 2006 as a 2007 model. Sales of the CX-7 were mediocre - sitting between the sizes of compact and midsize crossovers means it was not competitive in either category, plus the turbocharged model had poor fuel economy.

According to Autocar (Magazine), Mazda had ceased the production of its CX-7. The decision is said to come following the immense success of Mazda's smaller CX-5 SUV which have considerably lowered the demand for the larger, more expensive CX-7.
