My Tamron 28 -75mm f/2.8 is soft at f/2.8

The pic posted by ExplorerZ are indeed much sharper than the ones I saw here posted by another CS member taken at f2.8 for a distance landscape.

:think: distance landscape... haven tried f2.8 for landscape before... :sweatsm:
could it be error in focusing or lack of DOF? :dunno:
 

Your lens may have been serviced, but was it calibrated?

You can check for focusing errors yourself. Look up on the net, do the test. If it is due to focusing error, print the test result and send it back it again for calibration.
 

I sent my tamron 28-75 back to Japan for calibration TWICE before it was acceptable at f/2.8 (took more than 3 months in total) ... will post some pics if I have time ;p

Did you tell them what was wrong specifically when you sent it back the first time?

If it is still soft now, why not send it back again? Errr ... it is still under warranty, right? :)

Yah, I told him its soft at f2.8. Its still under warranty so mayb next week or so when I'm free then bring down 4 servicing again. :sweat:
