Hi, regarding panning... u may wanna google it, there should be better illustration online, just a note,
1. hold yr breathe while panning.
2. sunny 16 applies, for me i add another 2 to 3 stops, it helps.

Sure thing! it is really no rocket science..
4 things to be adjusted on cs3.. saturation, exposure, contrast & black.
If u have time, first read up on how filters and post pro darkroom work helps add an edge to some shots.. that is VERY important.. then apply these knowledge on cs3, it will really makes sense to u. Have fun & good luck.
