total there are said about 6-7 counter @ 3 cameras each..

Disappointed. Contacted them and told them I did not want the free gift, just to try the camera and they said no. At least after that they bother to call me to let me know though but I was so enthusiatic, if they were marketing oriented they can squeeze one extra person in. sigh...Anyway, good sharing, Jacob. Have one gentlement asking the technical/sale engineer whether the NEX 3/5 is a crop body 1.5x which is similar to A550 using APS-C Sensor.

You know what did he answer:
"No sir, the body is make by Magnesium Alloy whereby A550 is Plastic exterior."..:mad2:

Wow sounds like the launch is far from that of A900 scale. I cant attend cos have to OT and was tired after standing for whole day. Looks like I didnt missed much afterall

I go there not to talk to them. I already read up enough. Want to go there to try the NEX3 and NEX5 out. My only 2 questions would be "how much? when?"

Also because the gentleman asked wrongly and mentioned "body", those not so familiar will assume he meant the casing because the literature provided to them not so clear on "crop". he should have asked what is the crop factor. At least they won't answer wrongly..maybe answer "I don't know"

Oh Direct Manual Focus. I'm not sure whats the equivalent for Canon and Nikon. So basically you dont have to set the camera to Manual Mode, you can still turn the focusing ring, so when you half press, it will still AF.

Personally I'd find that very useful, but not many people would.

Only SSM lenses (i think) support this feature, so I'm happy with settle my A700 to Manual Focus and using the AF/MF button to perform AF

hmm i guess it's already a privilege to actually be one of the first to try out the cameras leh... haha can't complain about it since i got to at least play with the cam lol. anyways...don't care about free gift...trying out the NEX is more important keke. quite like the feel of the NEX-5
