My sigma lens

since you cant resale it

consider if you have a Canon L and after using for 3 years,
the resale value is very good

So, actually buying L saves money

Why they add this coating which doesnt do anything for image quality
nor function of the lens ..??

i wonder if the gaffer will peel the coat off at the same time if you want to change a new gaffer:think: if it does, wats the point of making that coat, might as well give us the lens without that 'easy to peel off' coat and we gaffer or do wat ever we like to it. maybe i like pink i will do a pink gaffer. haha

Resale value is the last of my concerns when I'm buying a lens.

I find it funny that people buy lenses thinking: hey, instead of losing 10% value for lens A in 1 year, I only lose 5% value for lens B in 1 year, therefore that gives me more reason to buy lens B.

Haven't even started taking pictures with the lens yet and already thinking of selling it. :dunno:

And if you could show me, mathematically, how you could "SAVE" money by buying an L lens as compared to say a similar Sigma lens, I would love to see it.

Bravo!!! :thumbsup: Absolutely on the money bro.... I buy lenses that make me happy with my pictures. Not to make me happy when selling it, hehehe. Selling the lens means you don't want it anymore, I don't really care how much it costs by then... :bsmilie:

Ah! Thanks ! Learnt one new thing today ! hee.... May I inquire where to get this ? I suppose it helps with the cosmetics of the lens or camera. Seems to help with getting some grip as well, or am I mistaken ?

I better be learning now, cos I just bot a Sigma lens too...... ;p
