I dont know which shop nor the brand but I am trying to find it again. Give me some time, once I locate the store, I will inform you. I remember its somewhere on the 5th or 6th floor at the corner. It is similar to the creative HDD with screen but their hard disc then was only 32/64 GB

For the photos with local people in them, do you sometimes ask for permission to take their photo? Or just take assuming that no confrontation from them means permission granted? Just wondering how you interact with them

As for the overexposed garlic in the photo, if it's me I might crop it off depending what the photo is used for. But normally I just leave my photos as it is, unless it's meant for someone.

Asterixsg, dont shut up... share with us because its interesting to hear different views. U are right, everyone has different priorities and what goes in their bag is their perogative. being a woman, there are some thing I cant do without - hair conditioner and moisterizer is a must.. After a few weeks together on this thread, you would've figure I am more a traveller than photographer and guess thats why I was prepared to forgo the equipments and instead took items that will make my life on the road more comfortable! I cant ever imagine myself with all those equipment.. everyday I will be stress out about being robbed or stolen from the hostels. it will limit my spontanity and also the places where I can crush for the night on an impromptu basis.

But I have learnt to carry to HDD , just like I have 2 credit cards , copies of passport stashed in different bags for backup reason!

do u feel that it is unavoidable to stay in dorms for your trip? i thought that is one of the safety hazard.

as for safety on the go, did u have your stuff snatched from your hands? thinking retrospectively, could they be put into sling or back pack? i think "hand carry" bags is less safe as they are easier to snatch.

by the way, pupuce, i hope u can appreciate white balance. this take inside the mosque have a good neutral one. some of your pics have too strong a red or a cyan cast.

It doesn't tell the other side of the story. The grim look on her face could mean she is wondering why "the him" is casting his glances your way and not reciprocating her affections. Intriguing...

Zoossh, I want to appreciate white balance but I dont know how to!!! Reading up about it.. sometimes I look at a photo and it looks strange but I dont what is wrong with it. I only uses the white balance controls on the camera..

shoot in raw. That will leave WB to be the least of your concern. Seriously, I have been following your thread. I think you are trying to compress the learning process too much too quickly. Take it easy. Photography should be enjoyed slowly. I don't know if overloading one with all aspects within too short a time-frame actually kill the joy of it.

Well, for someone who has shot so many photos and to admit I dont know anything about filters, WB, contrast, photoshop.. its like owning a sportscar and dont know how to drive. I have a few friends who like photography but no one really talks much about it, much less for me to learn.. this thread has seen inputs from you guys which in turn opened up so much information I have no idea about. Yes it seems like a lot at one go, but I am enjoying it.

I am reading up about WB and filters for now. BTW, got my new toy ..heheheh

hahah...very good storyline.. it is fun with a photo and wonder about the story behind it. maybe he was casting his glances elsewhere but definitely not at me as I was well hidden in the building across her.
She could be waiting for a lover who is way late for their rendezvous!
