need to ask bros here..

When shooting zooming to the max.. i found out that the camera cant focus and take a clear pic . NOrmal ?

after taking a pic with a flash.. wanted to shoot again.. the flash blink for a short while before I can take another pic.. normal ?

Sorry if they were silly questions.. first time using camera with rechargeable batt.. normally I use litium batt.

Thanks

For your 1st qn, it's not normal cos mine can still focus. The only time it has problems focusing at times is in macro/super macro mode.

For your 2nd qn. All built-in flash units will take longer to recharge than external units. If u want fast, then get a speedlite.

For your last remark, rechargeables are recommended as they do last longer than alkalines, even some lithiums too.

Depends on wat kind of subject u wanna shoot. Else u can use the MF function.

Wat flash u mentioning here? If u are using the in-built flash, its because the flash needs time to "charge" before fire again. So take a couple of seconds to charge.

If u are mentioning abt external flash ex. Speedlite 430EX, no problems for me. Can have continuous shots with flash.

mm..my zoom max also means digital.. then cant focus clearly on one object . But if only using optical. no issues.. still abnormal ?

Don't turn on the extra digital zoom, u'll only degrade the quality.

I concur.
I'll just use optical all the time. Even when I use my wideangle converter, I dun zoom to the max. The lens somehow cannot get a proper sharp image.

ok thanks .. then that sounds my camera is normal now.. thanks !

oh.. is it necessary to put S5 in a dry box . Gd to buy the filters to protect the lens ? Thanks !

I dun haf any dry box. But I always put inside my bag for storage. Regular "house keeping" is required, at least for me ah! :bsmilie:

How do i improve the night shot ? Using a speedlite , timer ? Dun know whether its the area low light or... Thanks for such noob questions..

Wat kind of night shot u wanna take?

If taking indoors, a speedlite is useful. Use to bounce the flash to the walls or other directions u wanna it to be. However the in-built flash is quite sufficient if there's other lightings in the room. ISO 200 should be ok.

Outdoors best u have a tripod and set to a slow shutter speed with high ISO. If its too dark, flash can be used but only the nearer subjects will be exposed but the background might be affected.

Trial and error I'd say. Happy shooting.

Then buy a bigger bag lor. :bsmilie:
Heh.. wat kind of bag? The lowepro imo is not as eye candy as the crumpler ones.. LoL..

I'm kinda a fashionist! LoL :sweatsm:

Same for me unless i really need that shot. The conversion lens is degrading the quality so it's natural.

guys..
I got this cheapo cover that comes with the wide angle lens..
look like some plastic cover to cover baby powder.. :what:

Is there anything to cover that Wide Angle Lens?

It's like that. It's just a plastic cap to cover the lens but holds well and doesn't fall out.

Yeah its good enuff for me. Even the stock lens cover doesnt hold well originally.

Yeah, it falls out easily as it doesn't catch well onto the sides. The wide-angle one is a lot better but after a long time use is taking it on and off, will become loose eventually.

hey guys....its great to knw there's so many people using S5....i'm a proud owner too!! just abit disappointed to know that there are MIJ S5...mine is sadly MIC ....
