my mouse is out of control

test your mouse on someone else's computer?

if it does not have that problem, then is your computer problem, at least you know how to isolate it.

as dm says, it could be the fluff thingy, i've gotten it a lot of times. have you tried other surfaces?

I dun like razor products. Owned 3 razor mice and all 3 went kaputt within a year. Pui! Gave up and switch to logitech.

i have cleaned out all the white stuff + fluffy stuff. clean as a whistle.

i have removed the mantis pad and now using my photo album sheet as a pad. so far it is holding up. keep fingers and legs cross.

but didn't realise quite a number of us have this irritable mouse syndrome.

in case any of you have similar problem...

Hello,

If you're experiencing cursor jump issues,

1) The first course of action is to download the latest v1.94 firmware and update the mouse.
Please go http://www.razersupport.com/index.php?_m=downloads&_a=viewdownload&downloaditemid=422&nav=0 and download the 1.94FW. This should cure any tracking, jumping or skipping issues you may be having.

Steps 2 and 3 may give further improvements if needed.

2) If the jumps still persist, try cleaning the sensor lens with a Q-tip and some alcohol, leave it to dry for 5mins and try again. Please use Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol 99% for this purpose, you do not want to use Rubbing alcohol that contains ethanol. Isopropyl Alcohol 99% or 100% pure is commonly found in most all drug stores and medicine cabinets. Further cleaning can be obtained by using some "air in a can" or 'canned air" to blow out any dust on and around the sensor assy.

3) Also try and remove the silver-colored sticker surrounding the opening of the sensor. Please go to http://razerblueprints.net/index.ph...d,99/action,dlattach/topic,7394.0/attach,768/ for the details on how to remove the sticker.

If you've done all the above steps and continue to have jumps, please submit a support ticket online with the following info prepared which will aid us in further investigations:
1) Describe the motion (if any) when you experience a cursor jump. (e.g. moving slowly, drawing circles.etc)
2) Describe the mousepad that you're using. (e.g. Hard/Soft/Hybrid)
3) Does the cursor jump happen when you click the mouse or apply force to the top of the mouse?

If you need further assistance, you can also reach us online at http://www.razersupport.com. Please include all previous replies when/if responding to this message. Best Regards,Matt S. at Razer Technical Supportsupport-us@razersupport.com
