Not too bad after all. Consider your case to be lucky since the board is still relatively new since its release in local market.

For older generation of motherboards, it depends on the availability of the buffer stock. Not available, wait for weeks or months to get it delivered from Taiwan.

Good for you. Do check for any lose cables/wires hanging around before you power up. Later you sot again good luck to you.

they say can boot up everything but i dont know if they put back to my mobo , than connect the HDD to my mobo , will it sot again ? cos the say boot up no problem , dont know did they boot up with my computer parts.

probably is just a boot up to check if bios can start.. if your hard disk sot, also cannot tell. must get a working/new hard disk to test.

wah chiam liao .. later i collect i test than i will let u all know what happen..

important is the mobo can boot up all the way till it detects there's no OS installed. Don't take their word for it. Get them to show you on a monitor.

damit ... my com still cannot start up but shows bios eveything . until there than it keep restart. i think need get new harddisk liao la.

yeah.. Spend the $77 get a new hard disk. Solve all your problems. Once that OS is up, then you can connect your sot one and see if can recover the data.

wah **** . how come the HDD input diff than my old one? :o

dam . i already change HDD. but still having same problem. saying that it cannot start up. :dunno:

Your old one was a E-IDE one?

or S-Ata one?

The computer can detect the new hard disk and tells you that there's no operation system installed?

Did you install the operation system or windows on the hard disk? Wad do you mean can't start up?

now i installing the OS already.. cos the toopid service side forget to plug in my CD drive cables.... now i need figure out how to put recover my old datas.

anyone knows where to download service pack 3 for XP ?

Microsoft Update.

oh. updated already. so how do i actually recover my data ? i dont think so can recover. the input chipped off

2 ways. Get/Buy/Steal/Forage for a similar hard disk to your sot one. Swap the circuit board that is for the power and data cable. Connect to computer and pray hard.. :bsmilie: Or you can send for data recovery. I'm sure that they will do it for a rather 'pricely' fee.
