Having fun with my K3 w DA*1650

Martini-1570.jpg

Had the pleasure of returning home from work early today and decided to measurebate a little w the k3 n all my existing lenses. While i found some ok, some nt so good, some excellent, i found these few cheap lenses that go along extremely well w the increased resolution even with the lack of aa filter which was supposed to tekan lenses, thought i might jus share w those who spent all their money on a k3 (like me) n have little to spend on quality glass:

DA 35 f2.4- somehow this little guy seemed to perform much better on the k3 than on my k30 as far as i remember. Seemed much sharper wide open on the k3. Corners good too.

DA 50- v sharp already from f2 onwards, 1.8 is alr v good for portraits.

Sigma 70-300 apo- another one that seemed sharper on the k3 than i rmb on the k30, even wide open, at all focal lengths. Guess u can find this for 200+ 2nd hand and use it as a rly good 70-300 constant f5.6 zoom.

SMC K 24- surprisingly good on the k3, didbt quite expect tt compared to the other old lenses. Of cse some of the legacy lenses do v well as well, but those are much pricier:/ (also this means i am removing mine from sale to keep after seeing the performance)

Only recommending lenses that can easily found below $300. Can't wait to use them next wk on my off day!

Bro. Without the AA filter k3 or k5iis will show significant sharpness over k30 across all the lens u owned.

Great shots Ken.
I'm sure the added resolution will allow lots for PP mileage and look super sharp against a K5IIs resized down to a 16mp file.

You've also got a few very good looking new angles from Marina Bay area. Great!

Go ahead Felix! You don't need to wait for all getting K-3 before you get it! :P

Just got the K30 in May so not intending to spend $$ that I don't have for now.

Neat shots.

Thanks Zenten. :)
