My Food My Life

Finally, I had a chance to try the legendary Ayam Penyek from the famous Sri Bistari @ Changi Village.

Prior to the makan session, I heard some feedback on the inconsistent standards for the chicken.
I was lucky though, the chicken I tried was amazing, rice is nice and soft with chicken essence, and the chilli is to die for!

Just for the chilli itself, i can finish 2 plates of rice!

the Ayam Penyet shot - DOF a bit too thin, and I think the patch of chilli (I know u like it) is too much and coupled with the thin DOF, is taking attention away from the chicken.

I like the 2 shots of the Penang dishes. A pity the background colour is very similar to the bowl.

This is a bowl of black sauce noodle that tickles your unami...
surprisingly good, at the well-hidden corner of JB. Glad that I've found it on a hungry Sunday afternoon

There's a shopping centre in KL called "LOT 10".
Inside the SC, there's a food court which said to have gathered the best hawkers in KL city, named: 十号胡同

Since I was in KL during the easter weekend, no way I'm gonna give it a miss.
So here goes!

金莲记 福建面 the infamous black sauce hokkien noodle.

charsiew charsiew... it was good. better than Fatty Cheong's @ ABC brickworks.
But beware, rumours said that sometimes they use frozen pork when they run out of stocks

This beef noodle is not bad, it's different from Hock Lam, but taste good in a different way.
However, based on my experience, there's another shop in KL called "新九如" @ Petaling Street taste slightly better.

猪肉丸粉 Pork balls noodle (and 猪肉粉 pork noodle) is always one of my favourite Malaysian food. It's like the 粿条汤 from Penang, but with the umph of pork broth.
It's a weapon against Japanese charsiew ramen ;p

A makan trip at KL will never complete without bakuteh 肉骨茶
and here we are, at one of the best bakuteh stall @ selayang road.
