which IR you bought? Brand?

I know b+w has 2 type, one is no light can pass through, one is some light can pass through.

This pic looks artificial on the sky, guess you have not done any post processing yet. Good try anyway.

if im not wrong, it's a IR 720, Octopus Germany is the brand. :/
i don't really know how to post process.

Please pardon me if my words sound harsh. i'm just trying to get to the point.

1. As with all landscape photos, u need to watch out for the horizon line. I find the picture is a little tilted.
2. The picture is not sharp at all, did u have a long exposure that resulted in it?
3. I find the picture is too noisy, perhaps u can u lower the ISO or use a tripod. But some would prefer a little noise in the picture.
4. Composition is very important, maybe u can do something abit the leaves on the top right corner?
5. Post processing is relatively easy, u can visit the pinned thread by log1t3ch on IR Basic post processing. After processing a few more, u will start to explore the other ways of processing IR photos.

Last but not least, welcome to the IR club :)

wow! ISO 1600 is really high, maybe u can lower to abt 400 and try again. i would usually shoot at 200, unless no choice then i would use 400.

actually the weather is predictable, everyday confirm will rain in the midnight and late afternoon (at least in the west area).

practice more and i believe u will have better pictures :)

I think before we can start giving any C & C, let's get the technical aspect correct.

1. Image looks Out Of Focus (Filter or Camera problem?)
2. Foliage looks yellowish, possible that you WB is correct already but can't be too sure.

What camera are you using?
What filter are you using?
How did you take the shot?

Solve the technical issues first, get the technique right.

OH! i think i know why. thank you for pointing out the techinical aspects of IR. i read some stuffs online and found out where im wrong! thanks man! will take note! (:
cheers!

Some points of consideration for your OOF problem.

1. Are you using manual or auto focus?
2. Are you on tripod mount? Is the tripod able to take the weight of the setup?
3. Is there any camera shake, any remote or cable release used?

If you share the setup and how you execute the shot, then we can provide guidance and troubleshoot your problem.

I also make some technical mistake in the past and after pointed out by some of the members such as teerex and Dennis, I learned and improve.

1. i used auto focus with the filter on. that's wrong right? :/ sorry idk. hehehe.
2. yuppyupp tripod mount. able to take the weight of my camera.
3. nopeee. no remote or cable release. what's that actually?
thanks man! really widen up my knowledge by asking me all these. (:

Ok, good. We are heading some where.

Back to more details.

What camera model are you using? Till now there is no mention.
This can greatly help us to understand the problem.

1. Autofocus - Is the Focus Lock on the subject? Does it still hunt for the subject?
2. Ok, I presume that the problem should not be here.
3. Remote or cable release is a device to trigger the shutter release. It is the same as pressing the button on the camera but it is through a cable. Possible a source of problem, but your image did not indicate any signs of shake, so this is not the major cause for the Out Of Focus issue.
