Taken just outside the place i'm living in now in Germany using a self-modded D70s.

What do you all think of the colour? I can't seem to get the cool colour that I see on other IR shots though. Seem to only get this warm tone. Just curious how it would look if it were cooler.

C&Cs welcome!

Regards

You have to do channel swapping. Your photo is abit under expose. This is what I get after channel swapping.

I hope you don't mind me doing something to your photo.

ah ha! now i see. Don't mind me asking.. but I can't do a channel swap using photoshop elements? At least, not natively in photoshop elements? How about Capture NX? Anyone knows how to do it in NX?

You do not HAVE to do a channel swap- only if you want the false color with a blue sky. For this shot, with great evening light, I think I like the warm colored version a lot better. I haven't tried NX software, but you may be able to aproximate a color channel effect in Elements with the Hue/ Saturation controls. Chose each color channel seperately- you will find mostly red, maybe some yellow, and probably some blue in the image. Use the hue slider to change the colors. Not quite as nice as the channel mixer but it will work in many cases.

I have not tried it, but there is a plugin you can download for a channel mixer in Photoshop Elements. http://www.earthboundlight.com/phototips/photoshop-elements-curves.html
