Muvo2 4G microdrive

I found the price around $479 - $488 @SLS.
I was told by one shop that Creative at one point offered this thingy @$399 BUT those were the rejected and reworked ones. Not sure if it's true :dunno:

So be careful if the price is too good to be true.

IMHO, if the MD is tough enough to be used in an MP3 player, it is tough enough to be used in a DSLR.

Anyway, the 4GB MD works like a charm with my S2 (imagine: 308 RAW images!). As I upload all images via the S2's Firewire, there is no need to remove the MD from the camera. So I guess it's pretty safe.

What if you need to shoot > 308 raw images? :dunno: Then you'll still need to remove the microdrive right?

In fact, I am quite happy with S2 jpg. In Fine/4256 setting, the 4GB thingy gives me about 1000 shots. that's virtually unlimited for my kind of use. shiok!! :vhappy:

hey, has anyone tried a CF in the muvo yet? Or does anyone not want the opened muvo can let me try? I'm going to get it next week but if my CF won't work on the muvo then I need to reconsider :embrass:

According to the other forum, someone got it to work with a Lexar 256mb or Sandisks.......

Yes, I've tried with various cards and it works fine, but some of the cards need to be 'prepared' first.

Yeah, mine's only 3.8Gb, Donnoe about the others. I guess this is why they always state 'accessible capacity may be less'.

Theoratically for RAW+small should be about 6.2Mb, so for 3.8Gb, that should add up to about ~610. But funnily, my counter only shows 570....... Weird.

i am using 300d so i dun noe how it functions on the s2

apparently the 2.2 doesn't work on 300d as well. maybe u can try doing a search. now i can shoot until siao liao
