It is a terrible oversight if the police missed the portable hard disk no matter what it looked like. That was sloppy.

To rectify this, the police can organise field trips to visit Sim Lim Square so that their forensic staff know how to recognise a portable hard disk.

According to Foreign Minister K. Shanmugan... the HDD was found and checked by the Police, returned to the Tobb family which was witnessed by US Embassy Officer during the return...

The thing is... FBI confirmed that the S'pore Police and the Tobb family are talking about the same HDD. Therefore... did the Police missed the HDD... or did the Tobb family bended the truth... why is the US Embassy keeping quiet ??

Also.... Financial Times article writer, Mr. Raymond Bonner who started this whole conspiracy theory in his article, claimed he had "evidences"... he was sitting inside the Court room the whole time... why not show his "evidences" or at the very least... take the stand when SG senior state counsel for this inquiry offer him to do so ?? Why keep quiet ??
