Multimedia: Student who retook his GCE "N" Level exams

Nicholas Yap, 17, is a Normal (Academic) student from Si Ling Secondary School.

He had to retake his GCE 'N' Level examinations this year because he did not score well enough last year to be promoted to Secondary 5.

Then, he scored an aggregate of 21 points for his English, Mathematics, and three other subjects. He needs 19 points or less to progress to Secondary 5 where he can then take the GCE 'O' Levels.

On December 17, 2010, he got his results again.

very nice, did the system change? When Iwas sec 4, the systems needs a max of 10points to promote to sec 5,..... hmm.....

I think thread belongs to Kopitiam rather than Photo Gallaries..

Great reportage. The storyline comes to live with reportage pictures of the main character and his voice behind. Nice sharing!

nice thanks for sharing

its my school going to ite in 2011

Apart from the good effort in making this media presentation, I'm more happy to see the great progression of Nicholas. Hope he keep up his good work, strike harder, and he definitely will not be earning $3000/mth in future but more, for himself, for his family and for our Nation as well.

Well done, Nicholas!!! We all cheer for U!

i tot so too...

my first attempt, N Level 2010, with 13 points, LOL...

anyway, even though I get to Sec 5, I don't just want $3000 a month. See $3000, own a car, own a house, have kids, have wife, do you think is enough ??

Being 2 years behind his peers of the same age that will be taking their GCE 'A' Level examinations the same year that he will be taking his GCE 'O' Level examinations, he does have a wide gap of catching up to do provided he manage to proceed further into a junior college or polytechnic.

All the best to his future endeavours. ;)

Nowadays even 13 points for a GCE "N" Level examination can be considered as "flying colours". ;p

Obviously some people just have to wait for a Honda "Intergra Type R with 30K worth of mods" to fall from the sky and not worry about actually funding for such a purchase. :bsmilie:

3k is good enough if you just started from poly. I believe as he work longer the pay will increase.
