That sums up everything pretty much doesn't it? My thoughts exactly with you, bro. TS definitely wanted to share his experience from the shop and suddenly one 'supporter' comes to the rescue in its defense like a spring chicken, all guns blazing (refer post #51). At any rate, I also do not care if their business succeeds or fail but I am asking myself as a customer why should I give you business if I know your salesmanship sucks and you are out to 'chop' me. And in this case, if I were the TS, that 'place' just lost one customer coz I will never patronize their shop ever again.. and I will tell my family, friends, colleagues- just about everyone, about it.

No don't do that. Generally, if you do that, they will be nice to you at first, thinking that a carrot head had just walked in. If you had done your homework and start bargaining, they will show you black face and become bo chap to your needs. Speaking from my personal experience.
 

Regarding purchase of CF card, I had a good experience Video-pro at Sim Lim Square... I bought the Kingston normal speed CF card from them by accident, and went back a few hours to try to return or swap for another item... they did a full refund without questions asked... thumbs up :)
 

I have to agree with the rest that the standard of customer service at MS has been going downhill. Though I have been patronising them out of convenience and they have been offering quite competitive prices, I have often considered going elsewhere (like J3:16) who are consistently friendly. With the exception of Florence who is always so friendly and quotes me good prices (recognising that I'm a regular), I think the rest are really inconsistent and might I add that they always seem disinterested to serve.

And like the rest have pointed out, they don't respond to equote requests anymore! I think this is a real pity as this was one of their touchpoints. :thumbsd:
 

I came to this thread and saw the big hoo ha of someone who chose to deal with the shop a second time after he claimed he is not happy with the first deal.

I went to seek the story from the other side and was told a different version. Personally, I have purchased many items from MS color and never have any problem at all.

Then there is a bunch of people in the thread who rubbed it in with doing any verifications and contributed nothing to help the situation, while I am the only person who tried to verify the reasons for the discrepancies.

My first email to MS color I made sure Florence received it so that any bad service from her staffs will be made known to her.

As the claimed number of cameras is different from both parties, I had to ask for confirmation. Some kaypoh people wanted me to spell it out instead so that they can watch a free show. Certainly, it will be bad and against forum rule if I were to write "MS Color said they let you tested 4 sets hor!" instead and starts some fighting match between them.

Secondly I wont write that because I have not verified that claim from MS Color salesman. Hence, I decided and wrote that I will take the matter privately with the TS instead. Maybe I will simply forward TS the replies I received from Florence. And if the TS has dispute to the claims from their salesman, he can take it up further with Florence.

There are always two sides of the story but in forum postings, most of the time we can only hear from one side of the story and people will have to come to a conclusion based on the info available.

So you are saying everyone is kaypoh in commenting on the limited info while you are holding out some additional info which might shed some light in what had actually happened? You have posted several one liners asking TS to confirm the no. of units being tested and then denying you work for MSC but everyone with a normal IQ will know you knew something that others in the forum didn’t. It is only normal for people to start speculating that you are from MSC or have some sort of connection with them (which now you have confirmed with you latest posting).

You “came to this thread and saw the big hoo ha…” so you don’t consider that as kaypoh too? You even spend your time to contact Florence to clarify something that is none of your business since you have said you did not work for them. So, please don’t be a pot calling a kettle black.

It will certainly not be against forum rules if you are telling the truth since you have Florence's email to back you up (as you have stated).

To be fair to you, and MSC, I am inclined to believe you are not from MSC.

But the person making the 'big hoo ha' is actually you. If anyone is a 'smart aleck', or a 'kaypoh', it had to be you.

In business there are always unsatisfied customers some will post online and rant a bit, no big deal. The TS will eventually move on, so will MSC and hopefully the fat salesman there will also improve his service.

But your behavior on this thread had resulted in many people speculating if you are MSC staff and because of the fact that your replies had not been the most diplomatic, it had in a way, made MSC look worst than they really are, because people think you are from MSC, and you behaved badly. Not fair to MSC, as a result of your posts.

Its a shame. I agree this thread should be closed.

For those long term loyal customers of certain shops, of coz the salesman will recognise you and give you better service.

now this is a thread created for sharing purposes on the shop services by the TS and you are the one who first started calling people names which made others pissed off. why dont you call john 3:16 up, cathayphoto and alanphoto etc telling them the negatives feedback we shared here since you are so "helpful" i wont use the word kaypoh like you do to "name" a person and its damn rude to do it towards someone you dont know. you might not know but now you do. its like asking a thief to point finger to other ppl making them to admit they are the thief.

normally for these kind of threads abt shops' service, i tend to leave it alone cos i believe that, eventually, it will just die a natural death when posts by supporters/detractors balance themselves out. just like every other reputable authorised dealers out there, there are days which are good for them, and then there are threads like this.

for a matter of openess, i shop at MS color too, when i was working ard there and still using canon. nowadays cos of my schedule and where i stay, i haven't been back there in a while. and personally, i never have any trouble before with florence, jackson and karen (the other 2 employees i deal with). i usually do my shopping either at TK or CP peninsula now.

muvouser - i read ur PM to me demanding that i close this thread. i decided to let it stew for a while b4 i reply. i am not at ur command.

for such threads, i dun close them most of the time cos there are a number of CSers who love nothing better than to bash the mods/admins for suppressing freedom of expression for every single time we step in to enforce rules.... and when we supposedly don't do it, they blame us for allowing troublemakers to go scot free.... and when we do punish, they accuse us of being heavy-handed.... hence, i prefer the natural death method. we are not blind. if we let the thread run, it is sometimes necessary because it gives those CSers with a more acidic tongue (or fingers in this case, since you are typing) enough rope to hang yourself.

so i will say this one last time - be nice. there is enuf name-calling here to give infractions.

me too having no problems with florence and jackson(100% of the time i look for him and florence i talk talk to her only)..
prices they quote me through phone might not be e lowest but i patronise them is cuz it's nearer to my working place and my home.
save me the trouble from travelling down somewhere else..
i also recommend 1 of e CSer to go look directly for florence too as i know there will be some black sheeps there(i still have the PM msg)..

[muvouser] - no offend to you(so dun come and bomb me with bombastic english words :bsmilie:). you do not nd to make effort to tell every1 this is a MUST close this thread and to the extend to PM a mod to take action. you are just helping MSC to bring down their image they build up. CSers have e choice to speak out. Just like what the govt. want us to do.

However not all CSers know that getting a memory cards is cheaper at Sim Lim Square(SLS) as they do not have time to browse the CS for informations or want to save the trouble gg down to SLS. If TS got chop be4, now he should knows who he shouldnt look for and know which person to look for after so many CSers has been repeating the names(if he still want to patronise from MSC) :bsmilie:..
