I think the CF card is a fair deal since you are a willing buyer. You cannot blame MSC for paying the extra $10.

I have purchased from AP, CP, MSC, John and there are bound to be unhappy encounters. It depends very much on the salesperson. We have complaints and grudges over these shops and they do have their loyal customers too. At the end of the day, it is up to the customers to commit to the purchase.
 

lol.. please let me know how i tested 4 sets.. crazy... I had only 2 sets, one with deadpixel, one with stuck dust... by all means. review their cctv with them if you are so close to them or probably one of them. funny.

Secondly, if you are great ideas on how to run a business, why dont you call Florence directly and advise her?????

ok. I am taking this privately with the TS instead of posting in the open forum becuase there are disparities in the 2 accounts. This private arrangement should be better for clarification else too many kaypohs can make things worse.

Of course, it is better to settle privately since this is not going to look good for MS Color. With that, I think the one calling everyone kaypohs has just revealed that he/she is associated with the shop (even if he/she is claiming that he/she is not working for it). So, without further information, everyone will have to make up their mind about this case.

It will be bad form for a shop staff to react this way on forums.

So lets not jump to conclusion that this gentleman is from the shop.

So as to be fair to the rest of the good people of MSC.

well, many buyers are willing during the transaction, even those old aunties paying thousands for a useless stone. :angel:

if they already have printed price tag/fixed price but try their luck by quoting $X more to see if you buy in, they're out to chop you. assuming this case is true.

but of course this is how business works.

I am not supporter or a basher. Do your homework ladies. If you find it is expensive then vote with your feet. Why spend your money in the shop and then later make so much noise. Business is business. One way or other the shop will skin you to the bone. Only how fast you want the shop to skin you.

Know what is your rights as a customer and know the rights of the businessman/salesman and suddenly what has transpired seems like child's play.
 

This is not telephone quote, everything here is black and white.

The rental in HUB is much higher, hence make sense to sell higher price. no?
Are you sure the salesman only let you check 2 sets of S90?
Now we only heard 1 side of the story.
There are plenty of nasty customers around too. Those that you see you want to punch them in the face.
So we should take this thread with a pinch of salt too.

Because I do not give a rat's ass about whether their business fail or succeed. But apparently you do.
 

meh i bought my 50mm f/1.4 a while back from them. the plump guy a bit sian when he was serving me, but later was enthusiastically telling my dad about the benefits of the new sony printer.

sometimes, i think it's a matter of whether you look like got money or not.. lol. but honestly, customer service in singapore has always been bullshit, so i can't be arsed. it's just a matter of researching and knowing what you want before spending money.

paiseh ar muvouser a kaypoh chup 1 leg in as a 3rd party observer not to add fire with all the facts... based on your toe stepping post/ replies, it's indeed to let ppl doubt that you are working in msc or associate with them trying to say TS is telling lies or saving msc's look in this forum. we wont know who is right who is wrong based on 1 sided story while TS already dare to say view the CCTV

1. who else are so free going around and frame the shop with lies unless they are getting something in return for doing that. From this thread, is more like a sharing to others if they have experiencing the same treatment from msc same for other shops like john 3:16, cp etc..

2. scroll up and look at post #51 by xtemujin. you mentioned 3 times about are you sure its 2 set asking him to clarify blah blah blah and you did bold "not 4 sets?".

3. your reaction looks hostile with regards to TS msc's encounter which triggers the rest of the kaypoh's replies to your post and with your "toe stepping" replies.

4. from all your replies, i dont think you are more than a supporter of msc. There are some of the msc's supporters or regulars in this thread dont sounds so hostile as you. Or maybe you are the super hardcore and die heart supporter of msc similar to those soccer fans which protect the image of msc.


Lastly, you know jack from benro shop? he surf the net often and as well as cs forum which i saw when i went to his shop for a few times in different occassion. whether employee or boss have no time to surf the forum, they can always do it at home.


If all these facts sounds hostile to you which will trigger your hostile reply with regards to this post, then i got nothing to say but will feel sorry and others will know you more i guess... Or maybe im wrong who knows :dunno:
 

For many years I bought my cameras and accessories from the MS C S11 branch.
I cherish the time before they open the branch at the hub.
Lately I don't buy from them anymore. Why?
First I find the pricing quoted not the lowest. I sent them to e-quote a camera lens but receive no reply.
Second their service is inconsistent. One of the regular sales guy (a bit plump) sometimes he bo chap attitude and sometimes super good attitude.
I understand why ladies do but for for a guy?? maybe woke up at the wrong side of the bed. Also I experience some young salesperson just do not know enough enough of the products.
Having said that; AP in Funan also same. My experience with Cathay by far is the most consistent with slightly higher pricing but offer good service.
 

I used to buy alot from them too.. but as pointed out by other Cser.. they are not the cheapest anymore... their service sucks....
Seriously .. i rather pay slightly more to buy from John 3:16. At least they are more friendly... and make sure u get ur needs.

I think most shops that sell these camera stuff are rather stuck up... maybe earn too much.... with the exception of John.

That sums up everything pretty much doesn't it? My thoughts exactly with you, bro. TS definitely wanted to share his experience from the shop and suddenly one 'supporter' comes to the rescue in its defense like a spring chicken, all guns blazing (refer post #51). At any rate, I also do not care if their business succeeds or fail but I am asking myself as a customer why should I give you business if I know your salesmanship sucks and you are out to 'chop' me. And in this case, if I were the TS, that 'place' just lost one customer coz I will never patronize their shop ever again.. and I will tell my family, friends, colleagues- just about everyone, about it.

Actually I like the service attitude at OP, if you understand their kind of service (China shop style, no hassle, try all you want, one price to all). Some of their stuff is competitive, some is not, it depends on their vendors and sources as well.

Thing is, so far with MSC, I have seen big variations with their pricing for the same stuff. Mind you, I am talking about sales made on the same day. This is not hearsay, as I got that treatment myself when I bought things there and friends telling me they got it cheaper at the same bloody shop on the same day. Not different times of the year where there is room of price fluctuations.

Cathay is slightly more expensive, but if you do an equote, I find the prices competitive. And service there has been excellent. Even if they are out of stock of an item, they will still quote but mention it is out of stock. MSC never once replied to any of my equotes.
