hi.. which shop is better in terms of service?

i know there are two, one at the hub the other one's at block 711.. which isnt too far.

been to the one at the hub twice and bought stuff there twice but.. slightly dissatisfied with the patience of the staff when i tested lenses for sharpness..

got a flash and the staff was -> aiyoh.. dont need test one this one brand new.. sure good one. anything you come back.. :sticktong


i might be going there later to pick something up but wonder if i should go to the main one instead.. or take my business else where?

most folks here will recommend to deal with either florence or mr loh directly (depending on who's in where now). personally, i like to talk to florence, tho i get along pretty well with jackson or willy too.

i prefer the blk 711 service over the AMK hub 1....i deal with willie(if i nv remember wrongly) not too bad..the hub made me felt unwelcome cause they din really want to entertain me when i was asking for 70-200mm lens....they assumed that i can't afford it....he serve the people beside me wearing shirt and tie better.....in the end i went over to blk 711 and bought 70-11mm IS lens,580EX II, E3 battery grip, Lowepro bag...but i will recomend John 3:16 at funan...not too bad service

Yeah i will usually look for florence, jackson or willy. Florence can chat along well. You wont go wrong with them.

is it becos it's q crowded der? that's y they are understaffed? cos amk hub have like 3 pp der. so sometimes, they may be q understaffed.

not going to point fingers.. i went at a uncrowded point of time there were two staff free.

tested a lense with a male staff, did not meet my sharpness expectation.. no offer to take the other 3 pieces out for me to test shoot. i brought my lappy down for that reason though but..

decided to then pick up a flash the female staff nearby was like.. "can test" and was about to open the box and unwrap when the male staff came in and.. "aiyoh this one brand new.. new stock no problem one.. anything can come back" :sweatsm:

i swear i wasnt a difficult customer!! :angel: :sticktong i speak to them in a bit of english and often dialect as well.. testing of the lense was only five minutes max. i.e. shooting at a barcode of a box on the shelf etc..

prior to that my last visit a week ago i bought the 105mm where i brought my own cam. >.< so much for a returning customer ;p

Ha, no matter who, even those people in the older shops tends to rip customers off. Imagine quoting $20 (!) for a small little piece of 10-pin cover and they (the young lady and guy) even dare to say NSC charge the same too.


Fyi, NSC charge at $10, while LORDS selling at $8.

IMHO it boils down to the individual that served you. Which ever shop, it is that person that make or break the deal, even the price can be slightly better.

I think it realli depends on who is the one serving u. So far, willie n jackson are q helpful. The boss n lady boss needless to say. Of cos, cant expect the bosses to be around most of the times. Most importantly do homework before u go. Like gathering the cost at clubsnap (easiest) or call to ask if u buy big items. But MS color is still one of the better places to shop.

Huggable prefers to get stuffs from the older shop. The staff there are more friendly IMHO.

Do note that the even though there are 2 listed phone numbers, both shops can pick up the call.

I personally find that the service at 711 seems much better... The staff there are very much more thoughtful to your requirements... However so, the price there, sometimes do make me say no no... It seems that they had raised their prices on some items...

probably the staff at the Ms Color AMK Hub are the new staff... the ones that we normally deal with and give us good service are the long term staff that already there at the block711.....

Maybe we should feedback to florence about this. anyway... ms color have been always a good place to shop at for me

when i bought my 1st camera fr them at e amk hub branch, florence actually made a trip from e former branch to bring e model i requested. n while waiting, i was served nonetheless, with beverages n all. nice service rendered by the staff i'd say. =]
