dun believe what other told u...try borrow one and see for yrself..
afaik canon make very good camera with pleasing colour tone, handling wise it up to own individual preferences;)

shoot raw...ps to perfect loh..

aghaah. thts what i was thinking. i always shoot RAW anyway.

u got alot of time lor..hee hee:bsmilie: or u do it during office hours!:bsmilie:

To eow,i have try the 40D,the colour not a very big diff, thru the digi III sensor does help alittle, but to me, its the lens is the one making the diff ,the L lens are good, helps alot in the colour,as for the 1 series too ex liao.i am jus keeping my options open to a diff system
was wondering if any of the bro here, could let me have a feel on their sony a700 and lens
As to satay, dun be surprised if it is from me,i do things in a weird way

derrick and ctrl-cf...hold on for a while i uploading some pics will show u the main reason why still stick with the km/sony system despite canon having certain advantage over us;)
below is the sample of some pics taken sometime ago with alpha 700 with tamron 17-50mm f2.8 with iso setting 640-800, aperture f2.8 for individual shot and f8 for group shot at 1/20-1/15 sec handhold.
with custom wb....sony had improve the custom wb so much that now without the need for any reference for white or grey surface...i can easily set a perfect wb anytime anywhere.....
below all taken as it is in jpeg at x.fine setting only resize, sharpen and contrast adjusted all without flash...check out the colour for yrself

cool! thanks! do you have any pics taken by canon to show us?

nope under similar lighting condition and venue ...... sadly nope, but i would said the canon would be not able to achieve this kind of effect straight out of camera....without dro....even with flash + gary fong lightsphere or whaletail....i dare said it near impossible to light up the whole hall and everyone u can see their face clearly in the pics abv.....at f8 setting at 1/15 sec...
the absurdity is i bought a new fvl56 flash for use for these shoot......but found the dro work better as 'fill-flash' instead....in the end fire only few flash shot for the whole night:bsmilie:

i agree with Rashkae and eow,for canon we using need to pp we usually need to PP,due because the colour is abit toward the pale side,as for the ISO control,no doubt canon is best at it,but using high ISO will still result in noise and as for flash, like wat eow say,u need more gadgets with the flash to make it nice

P.S. eow,why a sudden change to mind,to saw as wat sony can do

to sum it all up..i switch from km to canon and back to km and now a sony dslr user.
not that canon is bad....just that i owned too many old km lenses and looking at the way/the improvements sony had acheived over the last one yr.....i will just placed my bet on sony once more.:embrass:
