You mean 'sexy shrimp'! :bsmilie:

anyway, i find the posture of the last shrimp pretty interesting, folded pincers, hehe..

Looks like the shrimp is hugging something!

i think more like the shrimp assuming a nonchalant poise and giving a lazy glare, saying " ni zai pai wo ma?" :bsmilie:

but nice, pretty sharp .. compared to mine... :(

hmm.. ok.. yr 1st shrimp, maybe u wanna to do a CCW rotation? and think its a little Oversharpen... coz the white spots seem a bit weird to me leh?

and 2nd pic.. wanna to do a 180 rotation? dunno will it be better that way anot.. how small was it? know its impossible... but could be better if its taken at eye level.. love the eggs in that translucant body wor.. ;p

3rd pic.. nice pose u have... but the right side anemone "tube" seems distracting.. maybe u wanna to try doing a tighter crop?

envy u to spot so many stuff..
hope my next mth trip dun disappoint me..

The shrimps are pretty small. Probably around 0.5cm or something. They keep hopping around and so difficult to shoot. I was there with them for 5-10 min trying to get a good shot.

Don't worry Siaoon, think your trip would be better than this man!

Tell me about it. The last time I tried to shoot the sexy shrimp with my housing, it kept hopping out of my fov and it was so frustrating to get it spot on before shooting....

yeah ... when the dm pointed it to me, i didnt even know it was there.. and couldnt see it in my lcd also ...

Luckily for me, the shrimps was almost everywhere and quite easy to find on this particular site. So keep going back to practise. Also had some mantis shrimp. They are even more funny and keep hiding in their holes.

However another photgrapher taught me a trick to get them at the hole. Drop some small pebbles into their hole. Then some go absolutely crazy and quickly come out of the hole with the pebble in their claws. Then the next thing they see are bright flashes.

Try it next time

does it apply for blind shrimps that couple with gobies? maybe can try at hantu this weekend :p

GOOD TIPS!!! but please.. DUN COVER UP THE HOLE WITH PEBBLES!!! juz a few will do... haha.;p

Don't know about the shrimps here. Have to try then know. I am trying to find the pic of the shrimp holding the pebble.

Siaoon regarding the over-sharpening on the 1st shrimp, I would check again. In my memory, their white is not pure-white. Thanks for the comments.

I am trying to get some pics of frogfishes up but photobucket is having some problems and is refusing my upload.
