Not the TS, but as per thread title, it's in Dumaguete. It's in Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

No news on closing, diving still allowed. Will there again in 3 weeks time.

Which small pier? facing the sea - left or right side? I will up date you on the closure issue once I am there in Mar.

2 x Xenocrabs.
Hypselodoris Kakatoa, and the spotty ones.
School of large Batfish etc.

Yes, this is the Ducomi Pier.
Now underwater work is on the 4 outer columns on the right hand side near your 14m mark towards the shore. I think they are doing an extension.

This is a great site, i was there on the 2007. It was pretty cold diving in philipines. It was a different experience diving under the Pier. There is car wreck nearby too. did you went? I might wanna to go back again but when is renovation done?

Is the car wreck further north after the smaller platform (18m)? I went around the place (the length and breath of the jetty and the smaller platform) to recce after my camera battery decided to play punk with me after less than 5mins into the dive. Didnt see any wrecks. :dunno:

The pier is at the north, as the car wreck is on the south of Dumaguete. I believe there is 2 wreck there. One is car wreck.

I don't remember how deep is the car wreck, but it should be around 25-30m deep. The Dive master brought us to 5m to the mud as there is always 1 pair of Seamoth(residential)

After that, we proceed outward to see the barramundi. It always hiding there before reaching the car wreck.

As the car wreck, the vis can be quite good around 30m. I did 2 dive on the car wreck, exactly we are looking for the Blue ring. No luck at all.

The car wrecks are in Dauin, about 15 km south of Duma (6 km south of the Pier). Shore entry is the same one as the poplacion 1 sanctuary in Dauin. Than you follow the sandslope down to 18 turn left and hit the first car after a short swim on 22 meters. The second is on 26.
At present you find several ghostpipefish and leaffish around that area. good chances of flambouyant cuttlefish and and and...
