I am using dual Samsung P2350. Absolutely the best for photos (and games if you're into that kind of thing), esp after calibrating with Spyder.

This is the best value IPS with backlid LED and with true 1080i HD resolution.
Hi, thanks, it out of my reach, if I can, the U2409 from Dell will if good, just $600+ with more than HD resolution...no choice.
Even if Lamborghini is on 70% off, super good deal also no use for me. Ha! Thanks.
how abt samsung f2380? good?
I will recommend a HP 2475w. Think is is lower end of $1k+

With its 1920x1080 support. It is truely HD. Of course since we are talking about photo editing, not a concern. However, it is also IPS.
If got a bit more dough, will get the HP 2480zx

you really need to get the facts right before you recommend something...
HP 2475w is basically a Philips 240PW9EB with more inputs and Philips is charging only--relatively speaking--$730. and no, HP2475W doesn't use LED backlight. also, every 1920x1200 monitor support 1920x1080--or for the less informed--Full HD AKA 1080p, not i.
in my view, HP 2475W is the least value 24" IPS for home uses, Dell U2410 or Philips 240PW9EB use the same H-IPS panel at lesss then 2/3 the price, nuff said.
Thanks for the correction. I have checked and indeed they are all using the same LG.Philips IPS panel. The Philips seems to also have a wider colour gamut. I did my research some time last year and the HP was the only 24" IPS LCD then. Now have to wait for the August Toa Payoh sale.
just read this thread.
There's a Philips carnival sale this weekend at Toa Payoh, their advertisement was kinda small in yesterday's papers. Not sure have this model or not.
