Your Minolta is fine with this. For film choice, I suggest using low ISO types eg ISO100/160/200. We will set the studio flash light to be bright enough for low ISO films.

ASA 100 would be sufficient. And no, film, DC and DSLR can all go for the studio session.

Hi Astin

I am interested in this studio shooting. May I ask how is the shooting session organised? Do I get to shoot the model on a 1-to-1 basis? If so for how many minutes?

I joined you shooting in the past once and that was at a hotel in Chinatown few months back. I did not like the experience at all as there was hardly any space for us to move around, too many people "jostling" to taking photos of the model and no studio lights (I did not bring my flash light as I thought there were studio lights). I did not know that session was meant for expert photographers...so wrong expectations on my part and a bad introduction to a newbie in studio photography like me.

Hello FM, sorry about the chinatown hotel shoot. It was meant for experienced photographers. I normally hold a meeting 1 week before the shoot to discuss details with the participants, so everyone is aware of what to expect.

For this Nov 8 newbie shoot, there will not be a 1-to-1 session with the model. all participants will take turn to shoot, and will be together.

I have other events that have a 1-to-1 session with the model. Here is the summary, you can refer to the thread/post for more details.
Oct 25 - studio bikini shoot
Nov 1 - studio jewellery with model
