You like? Take note that this is a event we are shooting in a chinatown old-china style apartment. And the model will wear traditional cheongsam, and pose like traditional china lady. We may hire a pro make-up artist for this event. We will decide later.

Hi referring to this cheongsam shoot, I would like to meet up all participants on Oct 15 Wed 7pm at Peninsular foodcourt. We need to discuss on shooting details and collect payment of $80.

Any other photogs who are interested can come and join us for a chit-chat. We are actually quite friendly sometimes.

Is there any difference between this event and the event on 19 ? I am interested in joining, and there are vacancies on both days. Also, I have never taken portrait shots before, so very much a newbie. Will that be a problem ?

The cheongsam event on Oct 18 & 19 are exactly the same, same model, same cheongsam, same chinatown apartment. They are organized because some photogs need to work on Sat while others dont need to work on Sat.

There should not be a problem for you (as a newbie), this will be a group shoot, so some of the sifu (ie masters) will guide and pose the models and everybody shoot at the same time, you may be pressured and squeezed but thats the fun part of group shoot. Along the way, you can hear and learn how the other do it.

We still have vacancies on Sat/Sun. Would you like to join?

We have confirmed the model to be Sharon, she is Miss Singapore 2001 2nd runner-up and also Miss Photogenic winner.

Everyone should have the location address by now. Here is some additional details.

The shoot is from 2pm to 6pm, we can meet at location 15 minutes before the shoot, for warm-up.

We will not bring any studio flash light, and will shoot with available light & natural light. I suggest using either high ISO film (ISO400/800) or bring a tripod. If you want to shoot full length pose, you would need wide angle lens eg 28/35mm. This is a group shoot, so all photographers will shoot together.

The model is Sharon, height is 1.7m, slim, fair skin colour. I will bring bottled water for everyone, will not bring any food.

If weather is ok, we can have some time to shoot outdoor/street scene.
