Modding of Nikon Coolpix 995

Hi Whacker,
Did a search at the Nikon forum over at dpreview. Seems that the unmodded 995 can't even take good IR pictures. Not sure about the modded one though.
Try searching using "995" and "IR".

Hi Whacker,
You have some good IR picts taken with your FZ10. Just wondering... Isn't your FZ10 already better than the 995? Isn't using the 995 considered a "downgrade" from 4 magapixels to 3 megapixels??
Still haven't managed to find a 717 yet. I missed the last one by a few hours I think. Haha...see got "Yuan Fen" or not lah :bsmilie:

Well, this is what I call itchy b*ckside. Since the 995 is lying there not used, I thought maybe I should mod it to become a permanent IR cam. FZ10 is okay except that have to expose for 8 seconds and that's the max, cannot go higher than 8 secs. Limitation!
I see how lah. Now apply a little bit of Mopiko to ease the itch. Hope it helps.
Hey, thanks for the compliments on my baby. Now, his face has changed very much. Haven't upload the latest pix of him. Probably will do so soon when I have time.
Well, good luck in your 'hunt' for F717.
Who knows, if my b*ckside starts itching again, I might get one too...
