As the Nikons are selling fast, can't wait for the Canon to be available.
So I'm going ahead to order the Nikon without the 580.
Don't know why this time the shipping also proportionately slightly more expensive this time....

way to go!!!
been waiting... hohoho!

Can't wait to get my hands on my new toy! :gbounce:

nearly slipped my mind.

any update on this product? ;)

can't wait to try it out!

Any updates yet? Gone very quiet...

Hi nutek. this thing looks good. my previous combi of small little bounce card + omnibounce was CRAPPY!! Maybe i should seriously consider getting the lightsphere...

Were ALL the pictures in your below mentioned album taken with the lightsphere?

Thanks

Ok, enough talk... I know you want pictures.. :D Remember these are just casual snaps, and pardon the color casts. I shoot in JPEG and my D30's AWB doesn't do very well in these kind of indoor situations.

Hi weekh, thanks for the heads-up! :gbounce:

The lightsphere for Nikon is now ready for collection.
Please check your PM for place and time.

Will arrange another timing for mass collection if u can't make it this time. But I'll not entertain individual arrangement (18 of u sia!!!) for the time being.

bro any spare ones for nikon?
or anyone suddenly not want it anymore?

Hi, do you have any spare for 550EX? Else will wait for the next MO :)

hi weekh, could you post the link to the usage or tutorial of the lightsphere? could not find it anywhere...

Bro where did u get the manual for it?

nutek said:
no I have not tried that combination. The manual says to use it in the vertically-up position when taking indoor shots, and full-foward-position for outdoors fill-flash. Because of the structure of the Lightsphere, it doesn't make sense to use it in the 45 degrees angle.

Hi bro, if u read the last testimonial from the link below, the fella says there is a tutorial that taught him to use it pointed forwards with dome on in daylight, thus i think there is a detailed tutorial somewhere around... would be awesome if u could help find the link for us... I emailed gary, but no replies...

faster go collect from weekh. just got mine from him today.
its damn shiok. its everything that the omnibounce never was.

imho imnibounce is a total waste of time compared to lightsphere. I think the idea of the omni was just to diffuse the light before it even bounces off the ceiling. so when it bounces off the ceiling its even more diffuse.

But lightsphere does that, and MORE. with the dome on top, it diffuses the light before it hits ceiligng ( esp low ceiling). THe front side of the lightsphere also provides a very nice natural soft light to the front of the subject.

the entire device looks EXACTLY like a light bulb when the flash goes off. Very very nice!!

omni or bounce cards don't come close to this thing.

70 bucks is a good price to pay for something this useful, even though the thing itself probably costs like 40 cents to make. :bsmilie: :bsmilie: :bsmilie:
