MO: Sigma 180mm Macro f3.5 (Part 3)

I don't know yet... depends on xchange rate and if custom charges GST....
the charge has not been reflected in my credit card account yet....

2nd and 3rd batch may kenna 1% more for GST etc...

I charge the 1st batch $880 for their lenses... will refund them if got the actaul cost is substantial less. Else I'll pocket the change..

Bought the lens from Kenghor last week for a friend. Results are truly encouraging for the price of the lens. I'm thinking of chucking my own Canon macro for the Sigma soon.

Any idea if the Sigma 1.4x converter will work with most EF zooms? Know some of the Canon converters are restricted to certain lenses only.

Seems that only the the 180mm macro is a great deal....

? price went up or MS Color quoted me wrongly, a search in the forum shows that the price quoted by MS color was rather consistent:

I was quoted ~$560 1 mth ago, but out of stock. Got the 180mm from kenghor instead. Seems like some of the price for Sigma prime lens is increasing :cry:

The price of Sigma 105mm Macro should be less than $600 in S'pore.

By the way, Kenghor, u bought those lenses from HK TinCheung, right? This means these lenses are export/grey set, right? even though they have a unfilled warranty card included. TinCheung is famous for selling grey set.

Therefore, we cannot compare the price of $560 agst local warranty set, be it $650 or less :nono:

Thanks for the link. Looks like I might just have to get the EF 70-200 f2.8 so I can buy the Sigma converter... now if my wife will only buy that idea.

I dont mind conducting an MO again. The Sigma 180 macro is less then $900.
PM me and I'll give u my bank a/c to transfer money to.

The risk is that I'll take your money and run away to some far away places and hide from u for the rest of my life.

The Sigma TC isn't a good buy. Better to get it from local. Or u may like to consider the Kenko instead which cost around $285.
