Hello,

May I ask how effective is it if I only use the tent to do product shoot without any studio lights at the sides of the tent?

Put it next to your window when the sun is shining bright(preferably not directly on the tent, with clouds in the sky to diffuse more light), or do it outdoors. Next best thing if you don't have electronic flash.

Sorry threadstarter.. I would like to find out more info before buying..

Will this cause any shadows? Can I depend on my celing light if I put in directly under or near it for lighting?

I think any light source from 100 to 200 watt for example (Philips, GE) can support your work.

the advantages for this tent are:
mobility, light, no need professional light source and DIY for fun.

if you have 3 light sources (top, right, left), then definitely no shadow.
but i have to say, sometime we need some shadow. then you can use 2 or even 1 light.
if you got D70/D2H + SB800/SB600
OR any camera + flash + flash cable then you may have more ideas to achieve your different creativities.

this tent is not the professional equipment and do not hope to get the same result as the product pictures we saw in magazine.
but i think at least we can achieve 90% + result as the magazine result just with philips bulbs, and get fun from DIY.
