Hmm tested with 70-200 mm and 50 mm (canon) both report the correct apperture (1.4x and 2x) ... probably it dependent on the lenses ??? btw nice to meet all of you during MO collection .. maybe should go on the next SEED to meet more folks :bsmilie:

for canon, if the lens has 10 pins, it'll report the correct aperture.

Just curious,How do yours' compensate the external flash exposure when using 2x convertor.(with taping 3 pin on convertor)
Example:
70-200 (2.8) + 2X + Flash
The flash display indicate 2.8 ,of course camera display also indicate 2.8, but the actual aperture is 5.6 .
Without doing any compensation on flash, is it means that the flash already at -2EV?? Am i right?
Should i set the flash to + 3 EV for indoor shooting ??(Flash as a main source)

You don't need to compensate if you're using any of the TTL flash modes.

It's the same when you put on a polariser or nd filter;you don't need to compensate the flash.
