hi guys

Anyone interested in ordering the inserts from Crumpler Australia? they charge a flat rate of A$35 for freight. (Tried adding 10 pieces and it still came out to be A$35 for freight:D)

They are really good stuff. Tried them out in Australia. The good thing about them is that they have zippers so they are quite dust free and things won't fall out. Construction is quite bombproof... not like the domke inserts that cost 40-50 dollars.(bought one of those and am still kicking myself for paying 30 bucks for that shoddy piece of foam

Do check out their website: www.crumpler.com.au and decide which size you want, yah? it doesn't have to be inserts. anything on the site that catches your fancy can also be included.

you can then put it in this thread so i'll order by 10th of Aug.

hallo fellow crumpler-carrier! :D

agree with you about the bags man... best thing is that they don't look like camera bags until you open up abnd pull out the cams. i've been looking at the Crumpler AU site and they don't seem to have much accessories. i don't mind ordering extra inserts or a padded shoulder strap (if they have) but i can't find them online anywhere...

can show some pic?

i went to the site but cannot find any pic or pricing

hi you can have a look at the inserts at the usa site:
http://www.crumplerusa.com/products/camerabag/bunion_insert.html

but take note that i'm not ordering from there so ignore those prices. if you want to see the actual prices, go to the australia site- they post the price (inclusive of australian GST) foreign orders are aussie GST free.

BUT if we order more than S$300 worth of goods, customs will detain the shipment until we pay the Singapore imposed GST ;)

Padded strap?have you looked for it in singapore?
For me, i'm only ordering for myself, things that can't be found in singapore. don't really have much difference if you buy available Crumpler products here or in Aussieland.

your're right. can't find the strap on the site but will email them and ask before i order... if you really need it (trying to avoid these kind of things as they can be quite confusing and may mess up an otherwise very straight-forward transaction.)

looked but don't think they have something like that for crumpler bags... just thought it'll be good to have a padded strap as my bag is pretty heavy when fully loaded and there's a tendency to slip off my shoulder after a while...

much nicer than Lowepro!!..but too bad they dun have large beltpack like Lowepro offroad

think it's the only padded shoulder strap that crumpler has... if your bag has that aredi then maybe to prevent it from slippin u can use the 3rd leg? confirm won slip aredi ;p

oh issit? i was thinking of something with a bit more grip (like a rubber surface or something, like what my timberland knapsack has...). i do use the third leg but more often i just sling it on one side (left side, left shoulder), that's why it tends to slip... :dunno:

wah good product, leh. really none interested,ah? come leh don't shy!

they got any medium size BELTPACK with SHOULDER SLING that can fit one body + 2 lens + flash + accessories?

also, what is the "third leg" for?? i have no idea how is it look like since the photo does not show the third leg

i prefer a beltpack + shoulder sling cos i can run around like that without the bag swinging about....also the belt can support part of the weight so that my shoulder will not be hurt that much

if the "third leg" of crumpler bag also can do the same too, may be i will consider...

also what are all the inserts for??

hi all,
going ahead to order the inserts tomorrow at midnight so those interested can pm or email me by then. thanks.

ps kamwai, the third leg WILL prevent teh bag to swing about as it is designed for bike messengers who need to stabilise the load as well as have almost instant access to it easily.

went to CP today to try it out today

found that it is quite difficult to put on the "3rd leg"...and also not really comfortable cos the material of crumpler bag is very thick, hard and rough

wonder if it is like that only when new? cos i find that all the other pockets are very tight and dun seem to be able to put in much things....

any idea which is the smallest bag with "3rd leg"?

also, are the bags are water resistant as it claim? seems that water still can go in from the side as the bag not completely sealed up with zip one...
