As I got some enquiries on how this bracket is to be use and since I got the stock with me now, did a mounting trial to demonstrate this flash bracket.... :)

Hey bro sykestang, did u receive my PM? I cannot make it on the stated time because I have work to do. Can i get it from you sometime this coming week?

Also, does anyone know what cord and where to get it if I want to use this in conjuction with my D70 and SB800? Also how much does it cost?

Thanks!

The flash cord is SC-28 for the D70. Lords is selling @$73.

Hi Skyestang

Just a simple question before I buy...do I need to get additional accessory (like plate...a bit confused here) besides the flash cord which I already owned? Thanks.

Supposingly if you are a Nikon user using SC17/SC28/SC29, you may need an additional hot shoe mount adaptor, it is like little anti-twist plate that screw to the bottom of the cable adaptor and cramp to the flash bracket. B&H is selling this piece of adaptor for US$17. BTW, this piece of attachment is also required for Nikon user who bought the stroboframe also.

However, I managed to source for a cheaper solution from the 'China market'. It is a small piece of hard plastic hot shoe adaptor to be screwed on to the bottom of the sync cable, and it function the same as the anti-twist mounting plate that B&H selling. I'll be selling this plastic adaptor for additional $8 for ppl who purchase this flash bracket. However I only have got a total of 12pcs with me.

Note for Canon users, you do not need this adaptor as the original Canon sync cable is moulded and shaped with this anti-twist function on the adaptor head.

It's indeed a sturdy piece of equipment. Now I having acquired it, I need to learn how to use it to full potential. Any fellow users willing to share some tips or would like to meet up to share ideas?

now the weight of my setup increases to a newer height

Bought this 2 days ago. The contruction is quite sturdy. Found that it is a lot easier to take landscape format than portrait format...in portrait format the whole rig sort of hanging off one of your hands while your other hand presses the shutter button. Another thing worth mentioning...its very difficult to use bounce card when using this setup especially when you switch between shooting landscape and portrait formats. Maybe with practice I will not find this a problem...
