There's an error in the book. The MTF graphs for the 50/1.4 and the 50/1.8 are exactly the same. i want a refund.




No, lah, just kidding. An excellent book; someone also said, "An evil book" - makes you drool and want to buy more stuff. i quite agree.

BTW, does anyone have older copies of LensWork to let go? i'm interested in some lenses that were discontinued, like the 50/1.0L and 300/4L non-IS.

Thanks to Housen, I managed to get a copy of this book. Excellent effort! :thumbsup:

Gone were the MTF graphs found in the Lens Work II. But this one looks very classy, with nice pics and glossy pages.

1 thing I'm amazed though is that the writer or writers could come up with so many different flowery words to describe each lens when they are practically the same.

Also, in Lens Work II, the 85mm, for eg, was introduced as one useful for travel photography, this time round it was emphasized as a portrait lens.

Warning though: Very evil book... makes one drool like crazy and so helplessly!!! :bheart: :devil: ;p

Actually the MTF graphs are listed behind the book. Pages 213-219. They even have graphs of lenses in combination with the 1.4X and 2X extenders.
